• Disseminatinginformationrelatingtoouterspaceactivities(includingdiscoveryofharmfulphenomena)providedbyStates(TreatyonPrinciplesGoverningtheActivitiesofStatesintheExplorationandUseofOuterSpace,includingtheMoonandOtherCelestialBodiesart.Vandart.XI).

Withtheadoptionofthe2030AgendaforSustainableDevelopment,globalsustainabledevelopmentnotonlyimpliestheuseofspacetools,butalsorequiresthatspace-relatedactivities,aswellasouterspaceenvironmentitself,continuetobesustainableinthelong-termforthebenefitofallcountries.

Thenear-Earthenvironmentisfragileandthebroadeningofapplicationandspaceoperationsandtheincreasedstrategicvalueofspacehaveresultedinagrowingneedtoenhancethesafetyofspaceoperations,securityofspaceassetsandsystems,andthelong-termsustainabilityofouterspaceactivities.

Complexityofbroaderspacesecurityencompassessafety/security/sustainabilitymeasuresaswellasmechanismsforhandlingrisksandhazardseitherbynaturalcausesorman-made.

Considerationofstrengthenedtransparencyandconfidence-buildingunderinternationalspacelaw;enhancedinformationexchangeandriskreductionnotificationproceduresonspaceobjectsandevents;futurespace-trafficmanagement.

UNISPACE+50:RoleofCOPUOSandUNOOSAinglobalspacegovernance–strengthenedinstitutional framework.
