Remember, the name of the game is to get lots of sales thanks to Twitter without spamming.

So imagine for a second, you could in just a few clicks find all the people on Twit-ter who have asked questions related to your niche or business. And by you re-sponding to their questions fast, these people became customers…

So here’s how it’s all done, in 3 easy steps.

Step 1: Login to your Twitter account and go to the “search box”

Step 2: Look for inquiries

In the second step, you need to identify what keyword(s) you’d like to target.For example, if you sell a weightloss-related product, and you want to find who on Twitter has asked questions about weightloss or cellulite.

Simply type in: -http ? “weightloss” Or http ? “cellulite”

(note there is a space between the question mark, so it’s: -http space, question mark, space “cellulite”)

And then click on the magnifying glass as shown below:

Once you have clicked on the magnifying glass, Twitter will list all the tweets that contain the keyword “cellulite” and a question mark.Not all tweets will be enquiries about cellulite but most will be.For example, the tweet below contains the keyword “cellulite” and a question mark but is not an enquiry:

However, the tweet below is a perfect example of the questions you can respond to, to turn this lead into a customer!

Best of all, this can be implemented for any business!

So for example, if you’re a career coach looking for more clients, you can do the same and use the keyword “change job” and get prospects like the one below:

Or maybe you’re a marketing agency in Sydney looking for more clients, you can simply use the keywords “marketing Sydney” and get results like the one below:

Step 3: Get in touch!

Once you have identified the potential leads for your business or practice, you need to start a conversation with these people.

The key is to appear friendly and avoid sounding salesy at all costs!

Remember, social media is about being “social”. People use social media to find out information, share information and connect with like-minded people.

So responding to a tweet about cellulite by saying “Hey, buy my anti-cellulite cream here…” is a no-no.

Instead, give them a tip, like “hey Mary, have you tried drinking green tea daily? It helps a lot!”

Then, a few days later, follow up by asking “Hey Mary, have you tried drinking green tea? By the way, you can find more tips here: www.yourwebsite.com”

That way, you not only come across as friendly and caring, but also justify why you’re sharing a link.

Bonus tip: Send prospects to a lead capture page for a free report or to subscribe to your newsletter, that way you build your list and they get more information for free!

To reply to enquiries, simply click on the “reply” tab below their tweet as shown below:

Remember, Twitter will only allow you to send a reply that is no longer than 140 characters, so make sure your message does not exceed that.

Once you have typed your reply, simply click on “tweet” and the recipient will be notified that they have received a response.

What’s great about this strategy, is the better your response is, the more chances you have of being retweeted! Someone who appreciates your answer and finds it useful will share your tweet to their followers, and therefore increase your expo-sure to even more people!

time I speak to Ashton, whatever I say or suggest will not be perceived as spam or unsolicited messaging.

The key is to start conversations with your target market, offer solutions to their problems, so when you do promote something, they’re more likely to buy.

Remember, Twitter is a very powerful advertising platform if done correctly. No other platform allows you to find out who is asking questions you can answer, for your particular keyword(s).
