I’ve seen many Khmer Krom men who rarely get married to Yuon wife. I saw Khmer Krom men, if they can’t get married to their Khmer Krom women/girls. They still decided to get married to their Khmer Kandal women/girls as their Khmer wives. For example, my Khmer Krom friends, Dang, Vong and Hoang…who are married to Khmer Kandal women as their wives. They seem not to like Yuon wife. And I’ve also seen Khmer Krom women/girls who rarely get married to Yuon husbands. This is, perhaps, because of there are too many killing fields that all Khmer Krom people have silently gone through Yuon Communist-Dictatorial Leaders.

So why do Khmer people really hate Yuon in their guts up until today? The people in the outside world, who do not know very well about the Atrocities and Genocides of Yuon crocodile leaders whose hands, are covered in blood of Cambodian victims by accusing that Khmer people who are so xenophobia or racists against Vietnamese people. Do all the people in the outside world ever know any sufferings, tragedies and painful memories…etc. of Khmer People? Is this the first killing field that was made by the Khmer Rouge or Murderous Yuon Leaders? If we-Khmers didn’t know very much about the first killing field that was made by the Murderous Yuon Emperors in the past was well-documented in Khmer History. We would still be misled that Khmer Rouge who brutally killed their own people. And who had created the first hatred and animosity against Yuon in killing Cambodians from the past up until today?

Every Terror Regime of Yuon leaders who have terribly committed the century's worst crimes against Khmer humanity. Yuon colonialists and imperialists rule turned out to be a human tragedy worst in Khmer History that is unforgettable and unforgiving. So many innocent Khmer lives perished pointlessly and in unimaginable pain. The actions of Yuon leaders’ Terror Regime changed the course of the entire nation. This was the first time that humanity had to endure this kind of injustice. It is very doubtful that it would never be the last!

Cambodians feared and distrusted Vietnam, which remains a regional power; stories still circulate about atrocities perpetrated by the Vietnamese against Khmers in the 18th century and earlier. Some of the suspicion arises from the fact that the Vietnam/Cambodia border generally marks the historical cultural split in Southeast Asia between Indian influence and Chinese influence. Numerous Cambodian regimes have laid claim to the Mekong Delta, a formerly Khmer region which the French gave to Vietnam. Vietnam's expanding population overflows its borders, and as a result, Cambodia has absorbed thousands of Vietnamese immigrants. The 1970 pogroms were just one awful example of the historically shaky status of Vietnamese Cambodians. Carney commented of Democratic Kampuchea, “The regime clearly believed in an external threat to its existence. In a sense, this is bred into Khmer bones, menaced through

centuries, first by aggressive neighbors, the Thais and the Vietnamese, then by a French protectorate whose real intentions came to be viewed with suspicion...A sense of national danger was firmly instilled.”(31)1

True equality and self determination of the Indigenous people

Posted by user - Monday, December 08 2003 @ 16:35:15 PST

From the editorial of the Voice of Kampuchea Krom, February 24, 2003 By Mr. Trieu Funan

For more than one thousand years under domination of the Chinese, and close to one hundred years under the colonization of the French, the Vietnamese people have courageously struggled and succeeded their independence. The Vietnamese people have obviously fought against harsh control and exploitation of the outsiders. Their determination and conformity with the world’s aspiration for justices are the driving forces for Vietnam’s successes, according to the history of Vietnam.

Naturally, when Vietnam suffers from pains and agonies caused by the outsiders, the Vietnamese people have continuously struggled for independence. Vietnam now is independence. Ironically, it is imposing harsh control, brutal abuses, and exploitation to the Khmer Krom people. Do the Khmer Krom feel the same pains and agonies as the Vietnamese people have in the past? Should the Khmer Krom deserve to have freedom and independence for themselves? The Vietnamese leaders should ask.

Whether the Vietnamese leaders now are accepting the history of aggression and annihilation of Kampuchea Krom by the Vietnamese people or not, the facts of history was remaining the facts of history, which no ones could deny or alter them. The ignorance of the history of stormy relationship between the Khmer and Vietnamese, only serve political interests of the Vietnamese leadership for a specific duration. That is not a permanent solution, which conforms the aspiration for justices of human kind. The two peoples should recognize the truth of history, and use it as lessons for permanent solution to peace and stability. That is to remedy the wounds, which the Khmer Krom people have felt deeply, generations after generations. The wound that cause by the Vietnamese controls of the Khmer Krom, and the Vietnamese are altering the true history the Kampuchea Krom homeland.

The Khmer Krom have 380 years long experience with the Vietnamese people (1623-2004). Within those years, they (Khmer Krom) have always been the victims all kind of injustices. Legally, they have the indigenous rights over their vast fertile land, natural and cultural resources, however the Vietnamese have taken all those rights away from them. Ironically, they are being deceived by Vietnam in all era, and to become the poorest people, being looked down, living below poverty, illiterate, impermanent, unsecured. The question to the Vietnamese leaders then, if the Khmer Krom people have caused the same suffering to the Vietnamese people, how do the Vietnamese leaders feel?

Historically, in the struggle to suppress the rebellion of the Tay Son brothers, the Emperor Gia Long (1802-1819) of Vietnam had listed and obtained helps from the Khmer King and the Khmer Krom. His Majesty King Ang Eng of the Khmer Empire then, had not only allowing the Emperor Gia Long to use Khmer’s territories at the province of Preah Trapeang (Tra Vinh) as his base for military training but also provided war equipment. Ironically, about 10 years after the victory over the Tay Son’s rebellion, the Khmer Krom have to face another brutal predicament in the massacre of Do Not Spill The Master’s Tea of the Emperor of Vietnam, whom His Majesty Ang Eng and the Khmer Krom had helped earlier to get back into powers. After the reign of Gia Long, his son the Emperor Minh Mang (1820-1940) succeeded him. Khmer Krom leader Oknha Son Kuy was beheaded, and Khmer Buddhist religion and Khmer race were on the brink of being completely destroyed. About one hundred years later, in 1945 during the World War II, the Viet Minh, the political and military’s arm of the current Vietnamese government, had wholesale massacred ten of thousands of Khmer Krom by cremating them alive. There are many Khmer Krom families escaped the massacre, exiled themselves and created their hamlets and village and remained living in the jungle of Uminh until today.

Recently, on the surface ones could observe a number of peculiar activities of the Vietnamese authority, such as adjusting policies regarding of minority, religion, and land. Additionally, it has claimed that the authority has built houses for the poor Khmer Krom, and Vietnam had a development plan of the Mekong Delta, etc. The questions then, are there any independent organization to verify those claims as legitimate? Or those claims are purely propaganda ploys to appease the international aid providers? Or are those claims only to appease the poor Khmer Krom in Vietnam?

Additional questions to the Vietnam authority then, how many hundred of millions of dollars has it taxed the Khmer Krom, the indigenous owners of the Kampuchea-Krom yearly? How many billions of dollars has it annually exported the Mekong Delta rice to foreign country? How many billions of dollars has it earned annually from selling oil and natural gas extracted from Kampuchea Krom to international market? How many hundred of millions of dollars has it earned from forestry, aqua-products and tourism per year in total? What has Vietnam helped the Khmer Krom? Are those claims commensurate with the natural resources and other products of Kampuchea-Krom, where the Khmer Krom are the indigenous owners entitled to.

This is the beginning of the 21st century, the Vietnamese authority please do not value the Khmer Krom so low. Please respect the indigenous rights of the Khmer Krom over Kampuchea-Krom according to the demand for justice of mankind and the international laws. The leadership of Vietnam should remember that in its struggle, Vietnam has used the slogan: nothing is better than independence and freedom?. Therefore, please allow the Khmer Krom has independence and freedom to self-determine their future according Charters of the United Nations, in similar manner as the Albanian in Kosovo or the East Timor, etc. If that miracle is happened, the Khmer Krom will have the opportunity to profoundly express their gratefulness to Vietnam for very long time.

Vietnam Should Accommodate the Need of Truthful Equality And Self-determination

So, today, I would like my readers to know more about the past Atrocities and Genocides of Yuon Leaders, whose aims were to wipe out Khmer race on this planet to pave the way for its hungry people who are in desperately need of more Khmer land. Therefore, I would like these painful and tragic messages to be read by the people around the world so that the future genocides can’t be taken place anywhere again on this planet. From past brutalities and genocides of Yuon leaders up until now, are always well-recorded in Khmer histories by Cambodian authors/writers/historians, but very little piece of the bitter-past memories have appeared in the English books that I have read so far. And, in La Sociologie Khmere of professor Sar Sarun, in 1973-74, clearly described about the brutalities and genocides of Yuon Emperors inflicted on the Khmers from 1800-1845, Gia Long/Nguyen Anh and Minh Mang, but the two pages of page 88-89 were blank-printed. It lost all its actualities and facts because it was reprinted in Vietnam when the Vietnamese troops took full control of Cambodia from 1979 to 1991. I’m also told by a Khmer student who came to continue his studies in Australia that there were so many books were being reprinted in Vietnam.

In the Forum of Khmer Krom and other Khmer websites, there are so many Khmer Krom young generations, who really express their hatred and animosities against Yuon, wrote to condemn like this: "The shame" you Viet said that word is falling on your own bad heads. All your ancestors are criminals in Southeast Asia. Don't ever bet. You damn Viet will be pushed out and treated like criminals. It’s you the criminals, not the victims, who will definitely fall in a terrible shame. Even a monkey can see that. You Yuons are living low and despicable. You damn crook. (Quoted Anonymous User not Registered Posted 2002-07-29 on 20:26) Anonymous User who can’t give their name in Khmer Krom Forum for their safety because if their name that was unfolded to the outside world on the Forum would be traced down by a Yuon agent so she/he can’t go to visit their relatives in Khmer Krom/South Vietnam in the future.

A Yuon History Writer who also clearly reveals that their ancestors who brutally committed Greatest Crimes against Cambodian Victims so horribly in the past centuries. But he doesn’t reveal all crimes that have been so awfully-lousy cruel in the manner of the “barbarianism” committed by all Yuon leaders from 1940 up until today. This Yuon man who clearly tells his people to commit the same wicked crimes again like his predecessors/successors/present leaders did/do. How can they do that again to Cambodians? Because we are not living back in the Stone Age! We are living in the Modern New Technology of Internet and the people in the outside world who are coming closer and closer to each other. Mr. Slobodan Milosevic, former president of the Yugoslavia Republic and his gang who committed ethnic cleansing against ethnic Albania in Kosovo during 1996-2000 Balkan War. Doesn’t he know what is really happening to Milosevic at The Hague so far? Doesn’t he really know that Khmer Krom Federation lodge their complaints to The Hague Court about Yuon leaders who have horribly committed crimes against Cambodians from the past up until today? What is going to happen to Yuon leaders in the future? When a right time comes that we all know these answers. Especially all Yuon leaders who will be surely summoned to the International Court of Justice/Penal in the near future. Therefore, please all Yuons stop having wild dreams of killing Khmers again like your ancestors did in the

past. Cambodian around the globe would not put their arms watching their fellow countrymen being butchered by the murderous Yuon leaders again. So the history always is clearly being repeated by itself to the people in the outside world who know nothing about the Greatest Brutal Crimes Against Cambodians that have being been wickedly committed by the murderous Yuon leaders are to read like this:

Politics Forum The Viet Version of the “Tea Pot Story” Posted By: ForTheEyesCanSee&TheEarsCanListen (lsanca1-ar16-4-46-033-226.lsanca1.dsl-verizon.net) Date: Thursday, 13 May 2004, at 10:37 p.m. “The Tea Pot Story” Narrated by Tuan Uy Tran

“Here’s the tea pot story...: During the reign of Emperor Minh Mang around 1800s, Vietnam invaded Cambodia and made it into our province. Vietnamese turned their soldiers into slavery (that's what usually happened in the old days) and the masters (Vietnamese) had their servants (Khmers) held tea pots on their heads. And if their tea pots slipped off their heads, the servants would decapitate or bury alive or something like that. So that's it, old days and old story, that's all. They just hate us because of that. I guess the Khmers don't want other people to touch their heads or something like that; it's a custom for them or something. I think it is time for the people of Vietnam to teach every Khmer a lesson of how to put tea pots on their heads for their masters to drink. May 12 2004, 12:03 AM”2

According to the Khmer oral and written history, as the Vietnamese settlers continued to migrate to the Khmer territory, they started to outnumber the original Khmer inhabitants. As a result, the Vietnamese settlers took control over the Khmer land. In order to cut off the territory occupied by the Vietnamese settlers from the Kingdom of Cambodia, the dominating Vietnamese settlers subjugated the Khmer inhabitants and made them dig a long canal called “Vinh Te” as a boundary between the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Viet-controlled territory. The history mentions that the Khmer workers were overworked, not properly fed, clothed, or sheltered. As a result, many of them became weak, got sick, and died. However, the Vietnamese leaders kept pushing on the Khmer workers to complete the Vietnamese project. The history goes on to tell that at one point, while the Khmer workers were still digging the canal, the treacherous Vietnamese opened their dam and flooded the man-made Vinh Te Canal with a high-level water. The flood killed some Khmer workers who were not able to get out in time during the rushing flood. As a result, a group of Khmer leaders protested against the Vietnamese savage act. The

The historical event called “Don't writhe so nosily because you might tip over the Ong’s tea” is narrated by the Khmer source as follows:

savage Vietnamese then rounded up those Khmer who stood up for the cause of justice. Perhaps to deter future Khmer protest, the Vietnamese buried three Khmer victims in the holes up to their necks in way to form a tripod. Then the Vietnamese made a big fire in the middle of the three Khmer victim's heads. Being burned alive, the Khmer victims writhed and screamed in agony. Hearing the agonizing screams, the savage Vietnamese mocked the Khmer victims with this command: “Don't writhe so noisily for you might tip over Ong’s tea”.3

Smaeh people have bad gene. They are rude. They like to curse at people's parents when they become disturbed. Smaeh people like protest and violence. By the time they realize that their acts are wrong, they lost land and properties.

Vietnamese is calm but fast. We are like a silent cobra... attack without forewarning. By the time Smaeh realize they are being bitten, they are dead.

Oh I love myself being Vietnamese blood. And I like to piss these dumb Smaeh people for fun.

Khmers are also capable of building something the world still finding it amazing. Until now, the world admires Khmer Civilization and still do not know how Khmers built Angkor Wat. If Vietnamese are as smart as you claim, what do Vietnamese have for the world to admire? Dien Bien Phu and/or Ho Chi Minh Trial?

Yes, Vietnamese are calm to attack. We would call it stab in the back or cheap dirty tricks. If Vietnamese are like Cobra, the deadliest specie of reptile, I rather be called “Smaeh.” Being compared to cobra implies you vicious and savage. It is a general views when we look at Vietnamese. Vietnamese doesn’t come to be known “YOURN” for their intelligence nor something to be proud of! How many Vietnamese were unjustly robbed, raped and killed by their own fellow race? just as much fun to learn Vietnamese hated and killed other Vietnamese as you love to piss on Khmer folks, if not more! In term of comparative social and politics, Vietnam today is much better than Cambodia anyhow. Well so much for the better race!

“You love yourself being Vietnamese blood” is the most reasonable statement you have made thus far. Everything else just illogical and distasteful to read. Only an ignorant Vietnamese would say something similar to what you've said.

This is a monstrous Age that all Yuon dictatorial leaders had enveloped Cambodia for the first time and the world is still ignoring the Cambodian genocide fell on deaf ears.

During the period 1813 - 1815, Vietnamese perpetrated the infamous massacre, known to every Khmer as “Prayat Kompup Te Ong”. It was the most barbarous torture style in which the Khmer were buried alive up to their neck. Their heads were used as the stands for a wood stove to boil water for the Vietnamese masters. As they were burned and suffered, the victims shook their heads. At that moment, the Vietnamese torturers jokingly said “Be careful, not to spill the master’s tea”.

During his dynasty (1802-19), King Gia Long started an irrigation project in the Province of Mot Chrouk (Chaudoc). Thousands of the Khmer Krom were forced to dig a canal named Chum Nik Prek Teng (Vinh Te), 53 kilometers long and 25 meters wide, from Bassac River to the Gulf of Siam. During this forced labor project from 1813-1820, many thousands of the Khmer Krom were killed. In one particular instance the Khmer workers were buried alive so that the

Vietnamese soldiers could use their heads as stove stands to boil water for tea for their Vietnamese masters. The phrase “Be careful not to spill the masters Tea” is still well reminded to their Children by all Khmer Krom parents or grandparents.

Before the Canal Project well done, Annamite soldiers held Khmer laborers into Pillories, each pillory contained about 20-40 people (they said to prevent Khmer laborers run away from mobilization), at least from 2-5 thousand were locked in pillories located in the canal; the dam was opened, water filled the canal, all Khmer laborers were drowned, no one was survive. (Listen to the Te Ong Anussa´s song that means the Master’s Tea Memo).

II – about the Vinh Te Canal

The digging of the Vinh Te Canal begun in 1814 under the reign of the Annamese King Minh Mang. The Khmer King of the time was Preah Ang Chan. “The 13 of the month of Meakasé Year of the Pig (1814), the king of Annam sent Yuamreach (King of Hell) Ong Thanh, Ong Binh Thanh, and Ong Loeung to lead 3,000 soldiers as well as 1,000 Cambodians from the province of Preah Trapeang, a total of 4,000 people, to build forts at Moat Chrouk and to dig a canal or channel that drains toward the sea, linking Moat Chrouk and the river on the Est”.5

“Ten thousand men, of which 5,000 Annamites and 5,000 Cambodians were employed on the field to realize this Canal (Prék Chik), under the supervision of the Annamese. On 33m wide and 2, 60 m deepth and linking the western Arm of the Mekong River with the Gulf of Siam, this Canal runs across the Cambodian provinces from Peam (Hatien) to Moat Chrouk (Chaudoc).

5 Eng Sot: Moha Boros Khmer n°6 P.1043

A bitter history of the digging still remains deeply anchored in the Khmer’s memory to recall these chores was the weakness of Khmer King Ang Chan towards the Annamese, especially among the people of the provinces of Péam, Banteay Meas, Treang and Prey Krabas.

“Working hard in the heat of the sun and under the supervisors’ strokes of stick and starved, many succumbed in the field, because of the awkward tasks, or were taken away by the water current when the Annamese ordered to fill the Canal with water (Khy Phanra, “ the Vietnamese community in Cambodia at the time of the French Protectorate”, University of Sorbonne Nouvelle, Paris III).

One cannot talk about the digging story of this channel without talking of the narration of the “Kompup Te Ong” that is self connected.

According to the narrations hawked until today, the history would happen to that epoch:

“The Annamese buried alive up to the neck, any Khmer who rebelled against them, in a way that only the heads stick out to form a tripods before lighting, and the heads were supposed to act as supports for a tea kettle while making their tea”.

But according to A. Leclère cited by Khy Phanra (History of Kampot and the rebellion of this province in 1885-86), the history would be provoked by other facts:

“In the province of Kompong Svay, the Annamese in the barrack of Srok Kandal Stung, Baray and Choeung Prey were all slaughtered by the insurgents. The vengeance of the Annamese army was terrifying; and more than one thousand Cambodians in the region were executed. The last were burnt alive; their bare flesh was applied with salt and pepper. The children were buried alive to the neck, in a group of three, so that their head stick out to form three corners of a triangle, and on which the Annamese had their rice cooked or their tea boiled. This torture is named by Cambodians as “ Kompup Te Ong”, because answering to the howlings, to the convulsive start of dying that the flame finished to consume, the Annamese torturers didn't stop sneering until the end, coldly, borrowing from the victims their own langue: “ Chhop Senn Vei ! Sngiem Vei! Kampup Te Ong. Let’s finish! Don’t move! Let’s see! You turn over the “Master’s Tea Kettle”.7

This second version doesn’t seem logical, since in 1885-86, the whole region was already under the French colonial administration in Cochin chine, and under the protectorate administration in Cambodia.

However what happened at the time of the digging of the Canal or later, these torments had well taken place on Cambodian people who rebelled against the Annamese.

The King of Annam Ming Mang ordered the digging of the Canal to settle his Mandarins and Annamese there. (Letter of S.M. ANG DUONG to Napoléon III). As the digging was finished, the Annamese would annex the whole territory located south of the Canal that they considered as being henceforth the border between the two States.

As my readers can clearly see how Yuon murderers treated Khmer victims in 18th Century, brutally forced all Khmer across Mekong Delta to do hard work like the ones Yuon secret agents did to Khmer victims from 1975-79 and from 1979 to 1991.8

The ways Yuon indiscriminately killed Khmer people in 18th Century, which was openly committed by real Yuon soldiers, but the ways Yuon secretly killed Khmer people in 20th century, from 1975-1979, was committed by Yuon secret agents/spies, who had secretly impersonated themselves as the Khmer Rouge, brutally ordered all Khmer peasants and former bandits to do the killing fields for them because their secret motives were to mislead the world/UN and Khmer people that Khmer killed Khmer. As proverb goes:

Kill two birds with one stone. (Do two jobs at the same time.) All Yuon secret agents/spies who have been hiding in Cambodia are as so cunning as foxes.

In 1833 the Vietnamese placed a puppet Khmer on the Cambodian throne and, when he soon died, replaced him with his daughter; she too only a token ruler, control exercised by the Vietnamese and enforced by a Vietnamese army of occupation. Cambodia had become a fragment of her aggressive neighbour who attempted to ‘Vietnamise’.

The above-well-recorded of Khmer history about Genocides and atrocities of Yuon leaders inflicted on the Khmers were very similar ones to the Vietnamese Hidden Faces Behind The Killing Fields from 1975-1979, and from 1979-1991 of Yuons’ K5 plans.

This is the third root of the reasons that the Khmer people who really considered Yuon as 3-Century-Old-Leech-Hereditary Foes who are the worst murderous violators of human rights on earth. And this was the First Killing Field that Yuon wickedly committed against Cambodians in the bitterest past. Yuon colonialists and imperialists are still trying to cover up their One Million Super-Dirty-Demonic Genocidal Plans against Khmer Krom before eyes of people in the outside world. Who created Killing Fields in 1975 to 1979 to brutally massacre more than 3 million innocent Cambodians, and more 460,000 lives again from 1979 to 1991 in Cambodia like that? Tragic irony of history; their victims, the peasants of Indochina, will be unforgotten. They will join the countless millions of earlier victims of Yuon tyrants, intimidators, murderers and oppressors. And the killings still take place in the dark place very secretly.
