• The Tropical Rainforest is located in Africa, Asia, Central America, and South America.
• Latitude is 23.5° N - 23.5° S.

It is hot and humid in the Tropical Rainforest. It is 20° - 25°C. Winter is absent and there is two seasons, rainy and dry.

It rains 200 - 225 cm each year in the Tropical Rainforest. Some areas receive as much as 400 cm.

The Plants• In the Tropical Rainforest there
is 700 species of trees and 1000 species of plants.
• The trees may reach 25-40 m in height.
• The plant leaves get extra big to collect sun light.

• Monkeys, squirrels, birds, frogs, lizards, snakes, insects, apes, salamanders, sloths, bats, and peccaries.

• Monkeys, squirrels, birds ,amphibians ,insects ,apes ,and some mammals.
One-half of the tropical rainforests are destroyed. Seven percent of the world is rainforest.
