Was it in God’s order to start a Seventh-day Adventist church

to be Trinitarians in 1844 through Ellen G. White?

John 17:3 says

And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

Page 4: The Trinity

According to John 17: 3, we have to have the correct knowledge of the only true God we serve in order to have

eternal life and also about His only Son Jesus Christ. In these last days, many will come as false teachers and false prophets and honest and sincere seekers for truth will have to base the

studies they receive on a “thus saith the Lord”. The goal of the false teachers are to “deceive the very elect” and so it will be difficult to distinguish truth from error since error will be so close to the truth that the only determining factor that anyone

can use is to demand a “thus saith the Lord”. These false teachers can even come from our own ranks. They could be the president of the college or president of our conferences or they could even be one that holds 2 or 3 PhDs in our denomination.

The only protection one can have is by putting their trust in God and His Word alone. WAC

Catholic and SDA version of the Trinity Shield

SDA Version

A good concrete illustration of the Blessed Trinity is an equilateral triangle. Such a triangle has three sides equal in every way, and yet distinct from each other. There are three sides, but only one triangle. As we see in this illustration, each Divine Person is different from the other two, but all three are God. Each one is God, distinct from the two others, and yet one with them. The three Persons are equal in every way, with one nature and one substance: three Divine Persons, but only one God. http://www.catholicsource.net/image/trinity2.jpg

Page 6: The Trinity

After you have seen both trinity shields, Catholic and SDA version,We have to ask the question, not “What is the

difference between the two?”, but rather, “What are

the similarities?” Ans. Practically everything is the

same. WAC

Page 7: The Trinity

Another question to ask is, “If the Holy Spirit is not the Father and the Son, then where

does that place the Omnipresence of both the Father and Son?” This confusing proposition

logically leads one to determine who the author is of the Doctrine of the Trinity.

Fundamental Beliefs of Seventh-Day

Adventists [1889 Yearbook-same as 1872 which is

non-Trinitarian]

1. That there is one God, a personal, spiritual being, the creator of all things, omnipotent,

omniscient, and eternal; infinite in wisdom, holiness, justice, goodness, truth, and

mercy; unchangeable, and everywhere present by his representative, the Holy Spirit.

8

Page 9: The Trinity

2. That there is one Lord Jesus Christ, the son of the Eternal Father, the one by whom he created all things, and by whom they do consist; that he took on him the nature of the seed of Abraham for the redemption of our fallen race; that he dwelt among men, full of grace and truth, lived our example, died our sacrifice, was raised for our justification, ascended on high to be our only mediator in the sanctuary in heaven, where, through the merits of his shed blood, he secures the pardon and forgiveness of the sins of all those who penitently come to him; and as the closing portion of his work as priest, before he takes his throne as king, he will make the great atonement for the sins of all such, and their sins will then be blotted out (Acts 3:19) and borne away from the sanctuary, as shown in the service of the Levitical priesthood, which foreshadowed and prefigured the ministry of our Lord in heaven. See Lev. 16; Heb. 8:4, 5; 9:6, 7; etc.143 [This statement is clearly not a Trinitarian statement, and is the belief that the entire church was in unity upon, including Ellen White.]

9

Page 10: The Trinity

As one can see, the original 1872 or 1889 versions of the Fundamental Doctrines universally accepted by the SDA

church worldwide was non-Trinitarian. Notice the difference between the 1931 versus the 1872 in the

foregoing slides. Between these two annual dates, I have compiled a series of statements from E.G. White stating

that we should never change the 1872 Fundamental Beliefs or we would have apostatized. Either we have to follow the counsel of our Lord through the prophet, or,

follow the demand of the conferences and church leaders to maintain our church membership. As members of the SDA church, we have a choice to make which will affect

our eternal destiny. As for me and my house, we will follow the Lord even if it will cost us a denial of our

church membership. WAC

Page 11: The Trinity

Incidentally, to force one’s belief system against the will and conscience of another

by threatening to lose ones church membership is simply a devilish strategy.

Therefore, to be ostracized and dis-fellowshipped from one’s church should be a welcomed misfortune and should not be

considered a bitter experience. Anyway, who wants to belong to a system that have rejected Gods counsel and have

apostatized? WAC

The following statements of EG White from 1883 to 1906 are the Lords repeated attempts to point the church in the right direction were

completely ignored and disobeyed by the leadership. Notice carefully the year in which these statements were written so as a reader, you will have no doubt in your mind why our

entire denomination are in such a mess financially and spiritually, and when our

church have actually fallen. Don’t think for a moment that our churches are wallowing in a

bed of roses. WAC

Page 16: The Trinity

Our faith in reference to the messages of the first, second, and third angels was correct. The great waymarks we have passed are immovable. Although the hosts of hell may try to tear them from

their foundation, and triumph in the thought that they have succeeded, yet they do not succeed. These pillars of truth stand

firm as the eternal hills, unmoved by all the efforts of men combined with those of Satan and his host. We can learn much, and should be constantly searching the Scriptures to see if these

things are so. God's people are now to have their eyes fixed on the heavenly sanctuary, where the final ministration of our great High Priest in the work of the judgment is going forward,--where He is

interceding for His people.—Review and Herald, Nov. 27, 1883. {Ev 223.1}

“In the future, deception of every kind is to arise, and we want solid ground for our feet. We want solid pillars for the building. Not one pin is to be

removed from that which the Lord has established (past tense). The enemy will bring in false theories such as the doctrine that there is no sanctuary. This is one of the points on which there will be a departing from the faith. Where

shall we find safety unless it be in the truths that the Lord has been giving for the last fifty years?”

Personality of God through his book “Living Temple”. WAC

“For the past fifty years I have been receiving intelligence regarding heavenly things. But the instruction given me has now been used by others to justify and

endorse theories in Living Temple that are of a character to mislead. May the Lord

teach me how to meet such things. If necessary I can charge all such work as coming directly from Satan to make the words God has given me testify to a lie.”

landmarks, she couldn’t be referring to the 1931, could she, if she died in 1915? wac).”

Definition of Apostasy

• The 1828 Noah Webster’s Dictionary defines “apostasy” as:

“An abandonment of what one has professed; a total desertion, or departure

from one’s faith or religion.”

Page 26: The Trinity

Conclusion:

Based upon the evidences presented, the established leadership organization of SDA’s have apostatized

indeed when they voted and accepted the Trinitarian falsehood into the Seventh-day Adventist set of Doctrinal Beliefs in the Dallas, Texas General

Conference Committee meeting in 1981, even though the literal change was first initiated in 1931. This leaves the “church” (laity) not guilty of this irresponsible move even though ignorance to this issue will still ultimately determine their fate. Unfortunately, the spirituality of the laity will not exceed the spirituality of their leaders unless they have their own personal studies to have a personal relationship with their Savior. Therefore, it behooves us to “study to show thyself approved unto

God … rightly dividing the Word of Truth.”

(2 Tim. 2:15) wac

P.S. If one would rather follow the counsel of

the Lord through the prophet, its their prerogative. If it stirs the fiendish attitude of the devil to destroy, so be it, but God’s prerogative still overrules for the truth of

God must be revealed for it brings with this knowledge the blessed assurance of,

“eternal life”. John 17:3 WAC
