We’re Looking for New Members

We need your help. In order for our Branch to continue to exist, it’s very important that we add new members. Please consider whether anyone you know would be a candi-date and bring them as a guest to our lunch meeting.

excellent presentation about his representation of Mark Felt, aka “Deep Throat” of the Watergate era. May’s menu will be a House Salad with Raspberry Vinai-grette, Chicken Enchiladas with Rice and Beans and Flan for dessert. The alternate lunch will be a Chef Salad. There was a signup sheet available at the April luncheon for those who would like the chef’s salad at the upcoming meeting. But, if you missed it and would like the alternate meal in May, please call Bob Valdez (650-349-6489) right away and let him know so that he can notify the restaurant. The April meeting atten-dance certainly exceeded our

expectations and although we hope this attendance trend continues, we have no way of knowing if we will experience the same attendance in May. So, in order for us keep our promise to the restaurant’s chef of trying to provide him with a head count to help him with his food ordering and meal preparation, we will be implementing slightly different procedures with the monthly email reminder Dave Mattei sends to those of you who re-ceive email luncheon remind-ers, in addition to the Voice-Shot telephone reminders. When Dave sends the email Scott’s Thoughts continues on page 4

reminder, he will be asking you to send him a reply indicating whether you will or will not be attending the May14th luncheon. Likewise, the VoiceShot message will be asking that you call either John Cooney or Bob Valdez at the phone numbers provided, to con-firm your attendance. Please note that you will be receiving these reminders earlier than usual so that there is suffi-

cient lead-time to notify our chef of the number of meals to prepare. I would like to stress the importance of your response, so please respond as re-quested. I don’t anticipate this will be a monthly exercise because I believe that, after May’s luncheon, we will have a much better idea as to what our attendance will be at future lunches. Thank you all for your participation,

cooperation and support. Please tell your buddies that Sharp Park is a pretty nice place after all. And bring a guest next time. We need better num-bers. I look forward to seeing you all on May14th. Lets make it another great day with friends at the golf course. FORE!
