As per the recommendations, prior to initiating any RFP for a national benefits program, CCA should collect concrete evidence of the interest of the Partner Association Members in having such a program. The first step in determining the feasibility of moving forward with an Association Plan, would be to determine the number of interested firms, how many employees they have and basic information on their current benefits plan (if applicable) to determine potential long-term savings associated to insurer retention costs and various funding methods available. Attached is a CCA data collection form that we request you review, and if interested in the proposed benefits plan we would request all responses back to our office no later than Tuesday, August 19th, 2014. Once we have received all the responses, we will forward the information to the CCA. The CCA then will have a definitive view point from which to proceed. If you have any questions regarding the data collection form, please don’t hesitate to contact Dorothy Carson at [email protected]. We look forward to receiving the completed forms, and trust that the responses will result in CCA working with all of the local construction associations to create a program that will benefit our collective membership. Members,

The Canadian Construction Association has been exploring the creation of a National Benefits plan.
