Speaker
PROFESSOR DR. BASSIM H. HAMEED
Professor Dr. Bassim H. Hameed received his
Ph.D. in Chem. Eng. from University of
Salford, UK, in 1992. He is a Professor at
School of Chemical Engineering, Universiti
Sains Malaysia. His research interest is
Reaction Engineering and Adsorption
Technology. To date, he has published more
than 155 articles in ISI-indexed journals and
other 80 articles in International and national
journals and proceedings. Prof. Bassim’s
publications have been cited over 4,350 times
(Scopus), with 7 having been cited more than
100 times each, and he has an author h-index
of 40. A recent report of MOHE, Malaysian
Citation Centre, 2012, Prof. Bassim is the top
cited Malaysian-based author in Engineering,
2001-2010 with average citations per
publication of 27.26. Also recently, Science
Direct reported that more than 15 of his
articles were among the Top 25 Hottest
Articles accessed in 2007-2012. He is a
recipient of three Sanggar Sanjung (Hall of
Fame) awards for Research Product in 2003
and 2004 and USM Excellent Achievement
Award in 2007 and 2011. Also he was a
recipient of Sanggar Sanjung Awards
excellence in journal publication in 2007,
2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 Prof. Bassim has
conducted many workshops for university
lecturers, postgraduate students and
researchers.

CANCELLATION / SUBSTITUTION A full refund less administration fee of MYR250.00 will be given for cancellation received not later than 10 working days before the course. No refund will be made after this period.
