COMMEMORATION OF THE OUTBREAK OF
WORLD WAR I
Tom Guthrie, soloist and the Choristers of the Temple Church. Songs by Gurney, and the premiere of an anthem based on Luther’s Feste Burg commissioned for this evening as a joint composition from two young composers: the British Gareth Treseder and the German Lars Schwarze. Intercalated with diplomatic exchanges, newspaper and military reports from Summer 1914, and some of the most poignant poems from the War. Tickets £20, £15, £10.
