It has been quite the two-month journey for Switzerland’s Daniela Ryf. After getting through the «craziest weekend of my triath-lon career» in Zurich at the end of July (where she won both the 5150 European Cham-pionship and IRONMAN Zurich), she’s been on fire with wins in Wiesbaden (the IRONMAN 70.3 European Championship) and KMD IRONMAN Copenhagen.Today’s race, though, was special.

«To be here today was my big goal for the year,» she said after winning today’s Subaru IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship Mont-Tremblant race. «To reach my goal today in tough conditions ... It makes me proud.»

Ryf wasn’t just dealing with sore muscles from her intense race schedule over the last eight weeks. A loose saddle almost derailed her day, but rather than let it bother her, she dealt with extra move-ment and kept moving ahead.

Ryf, who was near the lead at the end of the swim, pushed hard on the hilly sections of the bike to get clear of the other women in the lead group. «I was a bit frustrated. We were a group of five—I was pushing hard, but we couldn’t get away. Then, finally, we hit some more hills, which is where I tried to give it a go. I was going all out. I was really hurting.»

She might have been hurting, but that was no sur-prise. Her coach, Brett Sutton, had warned her to-day’s race would be difficult, but also told her that didn’t matter.«He told me no one really cares if you feel good or how you feel out there. I started this race with some sore muscles, I was really afraid that I wasn’t going to hold together. It was a challenge. It was the hardest race I’ve had this season. I was happy to to get to the finish line.»

But, as Ryf says, «just because you don’t feel good doesn’t mean you can’t go fast,» and she pro-

ved that today with her impressive world cham-pionship win.

Many people felt Javier Gomez was the outright favorite coming into this race—a face from the world of ITU short course racing who was going to school the long distance racers with his incredible speed. While he did put together an impressive win, the classy Spaniard was quick to point out that his win was anything but easy.

«The guys rode really hard on the bike—I was just trying to hang on,» he said in an interview after the race.»The bike had some really intense moments.»Gomez won his fourth ITU world title last Mon-day, so he hasn’t spent much time on his TT bike in preparation for this race. That was an additio-nal challenge on this hilly bike course, but despite all the efforts of the fast-riding lead group here in Quebec, Gomez was only 30 seconds down as he started the run. He quickly caught up to then-lea-der Jan Frodeno, and immediately pulled ahead.«When I was 10 seconds behind him, I thought I

should stay with him for a few km and recover and make my move,» he said. «When I got there I thought I could run faster, so I did. But maybe I should have stayed because the run felt really long, especially the last three km.»Gomez quickly opened up a gap of 25 to 30 seconds on Frodeno, but couldn’t get further ahead. «Through 11 km it felt really good. At 12 km I felt I could run even faster. Then, at 16 km, I felt like this is really long.»As much as he suffered to win, Gomez says he’ll be back to IRONMAN racing.«I really like these kind of races,» he says. «Eventually I’d like to move up to the full IRONMAN distance. For right now my goal is going to be the Rio Olympic Games. Over the next few years I’d like to do a few IRONMAN 70.3 races, but I will have to see how my schedule goes. After the Rio Games I will focus on IRONMAN 70.3 and IRONMAN races.»njoyed was being on the course with the age group competitors, something he rarely experiences in ITU racing. As you’ll hear in this interview, our sport could not have much better an ambassador than Javier Gomez. It’s been an incredible week of racing for the Spanish champion. We’ll no-doubt see him at another IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship, which is good news.

    IRONMAN

KONA 2014 : The opposite armies

We only have a few days left before the great 2014 IRONMAN final. On Saturday, October 11th from 6.25am, pro men will start followed by pro women 5 minutes later. Then amateur men will start at 6.50am followed by women at 7.00am. We’ve lived again an exciting year for the KPR race with the multiplication of WTC events, the increasing number of pros, but we can notice that very often the same athletes have won the Graal for 3 years!!! We offer you a survey of the opposite armies by analyzing the latest results and the experience of athletes on this event.

Meme si Frederik n’a pas connu la meme saison 2013 cette année, il reste néanmoins le grand favori

    à sa propre succession

    TRIhebdo 17

    THE MEN

    THE FAVORITES :

They are so numerous to aspire to the po-dium and the victory that it is hard to make a choice... But we often find the same pro-gnostics...

If Frederik Van Lierde (2nd in Frankfurt) didn’t have the same season as in 2013, with many 4th places especially in Cannes and Aix, he though won 2 half distances and took the 2nd place in IM Frankfurt on july 6th in 8h01. We can count on him: no injury and a big worker... He especial-ly spent 3 weeks in Font-Romeu. Nothing is left behind for the Belgian.

Luke Mc Kenzie was surprising in 2013, with his wonderful 2nd place, after a bike ahead and a solid marathon. Discrete in 2014, he had two deceptions on Ironman: 13th in Melbourne and 10th in Roth even if he was well-prepared. However, he has the experience and the good age to perform again. Sebastian Kienle (victory in Frankfurt) will also be among the favorites, 4th in 2012, 3rd in 2013, he is gaining experience, he swims better, manages bet-ter the bike course and can run very fast. Howe-ver, despite a victory and a sub 8h in Frankfurt, he failed in the 70.3 World Championships that he had won the 2 previous years.

Tim O’Donnell, the American ITU World Cham-pion had a hard time in the beginning in Kona, but he seems better now, maybe thanks to his wife’s advice, Mirinda Carfrae who won twice there. He finished 5th in 2013.

    THE OUTSIDERS :

Even if the favorites are numerous, the outsiders are even more! The victory is possible but the Top 10 is almost certain for these athletes.

Bart Aernouts (victory in Nice), who won the IM France in June, will be an athlete to follow. He is weak in swimming but very solid in bike and run.

Tyler Butterfield (2nd in Cozumel), who finished 7th last year, comes back with more experience. He calculates everything, he is very tactical in trai-ning and in races, he is strong in the 3 sports and he won Abu Dhabi triathlon this year.

Yvan Raña, finished 6th last year for his first expe-rience. This year, he comes to win. With a profile of swimmer/runner, and in a good day, he can fol-low the best riders on the bike...

James Cunnama, 4th in 2013, has been absent in 2014, but maybe to prepare better and change his approach of this event, without racing everywhere. Maybe he will have more energy than usually...Bevan Docherty had given up in 2013 for his first participation. He has been discrete this year, and has gained more experience...

    LES ROOKIES :

Jan Frodeno will begin in Kona, it will only be his 2nd Ironman. He finished 3rd in Frankfurt with the best running time, but above all after 2 flats. He will swim in front, if he manages his effort on the bike, he will be dangerous on the marathon. A big season on the 70.3 circuit with 2 victories on the regional championships and times of 1h11 and 1h12 on the half-marathon, he is 70.3 World vice-champion behind the untouchable Javier Go-mez.

Victor Del Corral is not a beginner, but in Kona it will be his first time. He is weak in swimming, even more with no wetsuit, but he’s proven that he could ride very fast, and the marathon is his key point... He won 2 Ironman in a raw one week after the other at the end of 2013.

Filip Ospaly has the typical profile of the short

distance athlete... He will probably be handicapped by his inexperience in Kona and on Ironman, and he is not young anymore , such as Pete Robertson, triple ITU World champion, but who broke his collarbone in mid-September...

    THE «ELDERS» :

A lot of athletes have a big experience on the WTC circuit with a lot of victories and years of racing, and above all, victories in Kona.

Craig Alexander seems to have been on the other end of races for 2 years, above all in Kona. After his 3 titles, he finished far behind in 2012 and 2013. He even an-nounced his retreat on this event... But he is back... He explained this «come-back» saying that his children, who are now in school, give him more time to train... And above all he said that he loves to race with the best of the World! He may have changed his approach of the race, with less pressure?

Eneko Llanos, after his dropout in 2013, he quickly has turned the corner, he ran less than in 2013, and with his experience, he can always perform in a great day

on a race that he perfectly knows.

Marino Vanoenacker is back after a long crossing de-sert, often leader in Kona on the bike, he has a hard time on the marathon. Coached this year by Luc Van Lierde, he succeeded his come-back and will be on the start line but probably with lesser ambitions...Faris al Sultan: The former winner is very experi-mented with numerous top 10 in Kona, but his profile swimmer/rider won’t be enough anymore to win this event.

Pete Jacobs was absent in 2013, he qualifies in Zu-rich with an «amateur» time. He perfectly knows this race because he finished it many times and above all a podium and a victory. His profile swimmer/runner can be successful when he manages to follow the good group on the bike. He is able to run the marathon in 2h40 in Kona. However, since his victory in 2012, he seems to have changed a little bit in his behavior and to be acting up a little! This is definitely not a good thing for him...

Andreas Raelert, injured in 2013, obliged to give up in Kona, he had a hard time to be fitted in 2014 and he qualified in August in Mont-Tremblant. He has a big

experience of this race with 3 podiums and one sur-render in Kona, but he will probably lack of freshness.ur.

    THE WOMEN

Regarding the women, the race will be as exciting and open as usual with serious possible pretenders to the title... We just regret that this year again, no French woman will be racing... Maybe in 2015?

    THE FAVORITES

Mirinda Carfrae won twice the Ironman of Hawaii, she is the most titled. She has proven this year that she could win another Ironman distance race, Challenge Roth. She finished 23rd on the Ironman Florida, which allowed her to qualify for 2014 and to focus on her pre-paration since then !

Rachel Joyce did a wonderful race in 2013 (2nd) but she hit a snag, a Carfrae who runs as fast as men, even faster, she did a better marathon than the man win-ner! Rachel knows the race well, and she is mature. She won Cozumel at the end of November to qualify and finished again 2nd behind Carfrae in Roth...

    Michelle Vesterby

Caroline Steffen doesn’t manage to perform in Kona, often leader after the bike, the marathon is her weakness, and last year she finished 5th. She won the Ironman Melbourne in March and she fi-nished 3rd in Roth...

Yvonne Von Vlerken, 4th last year in Kona and in Roth 2014, 2nd in Abu Dhabi, she won the Iron-man Florida. She is regularly on podiums, but pro-bably lacks of sparks to win in Kona.Liz Blatchford chooses her races wisely, she doesn’t do too much, and she finished 3rd in Kona last year. This year, she just won the IM Cairns for the 2nd time.

    THE ROOKIES

Daniela Ryf, she comes from the ITU circuit and has struck everyone for her beginnings with her victory in Zurich and at the 70.3 World Cham-pionships in Mont-Tremblant! She will be a be-ginner in Kona but judging from her qualities, she can surprise everybody and will be one of the big favorites !!!

Melissa Hauschildt has been injured since Mont-Tremblant but hopes to be cured in Kona !

Corinne Abraham, the British will be for the first time in Kona, she has shown a big regularity since 2010, she never finished after the 4th place on IM. She won the Ironman Frankfurt in July and Mel-bourne in 2013, proving then that we could count on her and that she was ready for Kona.

    THE OUTSIDERS

Michelle Vesterby, regularly well-ranked, she is a complete athlete. 8th in 2013, she has the same coach and manager as Frederik Van Lierde, a sign ?

Meredith Kessler, a complete athlete who is gai-ning more and more experience and who can still try to reach the podium.

Catriona Morrison, almost absent for 16 mon-ths because of an ankle injury, the Scottish never really performed in Kona, she is regular on the bike and run. She has just failed in the 70.3 World Championships.

Mary Beth Ellis, after winning almost everything, Hawaii is the only race where she hasn’t reached the podium yet. 15th and 5th in 2012, she gave up last year after a bike accident last September, she was far from being a 100% ready... 2nd in Mel-bourne, she doesn’t have the same capacities as her beginnings in the Team TBB.

    THE ELDERS

The 47-year-old Swiss Natascha Badmann is once again on the start-list of this event that she won 6 times!!

Leanda Cave, oscillates between performance and disappointing performance in Kona: victory in 2012 and 12th in 2013, but regularly in the Top 10 since 2007! This year, she was disqualified (before going back to take her bib number during the bike and to go again... Before giving up on the run) in Nice because she didn’t have her bib number, she had to race in Sweden to qualify for Hawaii.

    THE SWIM

A big group should be formed after the swim with the habitual leaders, pro-bably with a little advance : Andy Potts, Pete Jacobs, Jan Frodeno...Daniel Halksworth, Axel Zeebroek, Romain Guil-laume, Paul Matthews, David Dellow, Jérémy Jur-kiewicz, Ivan Raña, Tyler Butterfield, Frederik Van Lierde, Marko Albert will probably be in the first group. «The elders» should be a little bit untied but they should contact, especially Alexander, Vanhoenac-ker, Llanos, Al Sultan... The delayed men will be in order : Andreas Raelert, Sebi Kienle, Cyril Viennot, Miki Weiss, Bart Aer-nouts, Victor Del Corral, Ronnie Schildknecht...

THE BIKE The big «swimmers-riders» will take the lead to form a group and to unable the latecomers to come back...Among the big riders in the lead: Andrew Stary-kowicz, Frederik Van Lierde, Luke McKenzie, Nils Frommhold, Marino Vanhoenacker, Maik Twel-

siek. The latter will do the race in the lead and will dictate the pace until the return from the back of Sebastian Kienle. Until the U turn in Hawi, the leading group will be compact and if the lateco-mers haven’t came back, they will ride their 180km alone... But the latter could be close! Their goal will be not to be alone. On the way back to Kona, where the wind can be stronger, strong riders will try to make the group explode in order to get ahead of strong runners. It will be the moment when the difference will be made.

THE MARATHONThe best runner among the leading bike group will win the race if they have enough advance on run-ners such as Aernouts, Del Corral, Matthews...The most complete athletes will have a chance to take a place on the podium. Frederik Van Lierde, Jan Frodeno, Tyler Butterfield and Ivan Raña will be the most dangerous on October 11th... Obviously Kona is a one-day-race and an athlete whom we haven’t expected can come and perturb this fore-cast !

    NUTRITION

    Digestivesdisorders

Digestive disorders are recurrent in triathlon : nausea,

acidity, vomiting, transit trouble... These troubles can

disturb the high digestive system (stomach) and/or the low

one (intestines). These troubles could be responsible of

more than 50% of dropouts on long distance events. Let’s

see what are the causes and how to avoid them in order to

    really appreciate your triathlon.

    By Marion Rouxel, diététicienne Overstims

There are lots of causes of gastrointestinal di-sorders, here are some of them:- Blood redistribution : during an effort, the blood is preferentially distributed to muscles which need a lot of oxygen, to the detriment of the digestive system. As an example, at 70% of the VO2 max, the blood flow in the intestines is de-creased by 80%. - an anxious field : the stress brought about by the race and by the pending of the start fosters diges-tive disorders. There is a direct link between our emotions, our brain and the intestine. - Nutrition habits: an inappropriate feeding and hydration can cause acid reflux and digestive di-sorders. - The syndrome of the porous intestine: the intes-tine lets through big molecules, bacterias through the intestinal wall which is more permeable. When entering into the body, these molecules generate tiredness, tendinitis, a decreased immunity...

    - Shockwaves: the shocks du to supports on the ground during the run weaken the intestinal wall. - And some medicines...

During training :- During your training, progressively increase the intensity of your effort. Don’t begin too fast or don’t do an intense session without warming up. - Train enough before a triathlon. Statistically, triathletes who are less trained have more troubles in the effort.- Don’t be too tight in your training suits. - Think about glutamine. This is an amino acid which plays a part in the immune protection and the maintaining of the intestinal wall. The intake of GLUTAMINE in cure during the training phase and/or just before a triathlon permits to preserve the intestine.

  • NUTRITION

2-3 days prior to an event :The Scandinavian food-combining diet the week prior to the event sometimes implies a complete change of nutrition. In this capacity, it can foster digestive disorders. The last days prior to an event, without totally modifying your feeding habits, li-mit some foodstuffs in order to foster a digestive comfort. This is for example the case of :- Fat meat (more fattening, less digestible than white meat). - Cooked fat (indigestible, slowing down the gastric emptying)- Strong-tasty vegetables (reflux, bloating)- Excess of fibrous foodstuffs (accelerated transit)- Dairy products (depending on the personal tole-rance) - Legumes (lentils, red beans, chickpeas...) (bloa-ting)Generally speaking, just before the effort, avoid fattening, fermented, too spicy and irritating food. The day before the race, eat the usual quantity in order not to overload the digestive system. Some athletes abuse of non-steroidal anti-inflamma-

tories such as Aspirin. However, these medicines reduce the blood flow in the stomach and can am-plify troubles during the effort. Do not hesitate to ask for advice of health professionals because self medication is not a solution.

The last meal before the effort :The last meal before the triathlon must be light and digest. The «rule of the 3 hours» is not always efficient if the digestion is longer. There are some products adapted to the effort such as GATOS-PORT® which ensures a digestive comfort.

During the effort :- A dehydration can foster the alteration of the in-testinal mucosa by reduction of the blood volume. Consequently, the most adapted solution is to re-gularly absorb 1 to 2 full-mouths of isotonic drink. During every sessions, taking an isotonic drink al-lows to maintain a slow blood flow in the intestines and to nourish the intestinal cells. It preserves the intestine. - During the effort, drink an isotonic drink, not too cold, and that you’ve already tried during your sessions. Avoid sparkling water or soda. OVERS-TIM.s® drinks have been created to avoid these in-conveniences. Isotonic, made without citric acid, without conservatives, they are reliable and allow to avoid digestive disorders du to a too important acidity. - On a triathlon, take advantage of the bike part to feed very regularly. As it is an «carried» activity, biking is less «traumatizing» for your digestive system. - Chew well your food and energy bars during the effort because the digestion begins in your mouth.- After eating a gel, drink 1 to 2 mouthfuls of water.

After the effort:- Hydrate well with the OVERSTIM.s RECOVERY DRINK once you finish and before consuming so-lid food.- During the first meals after the effort, respect the rules of nutrition before the effort. - The consumption of alcohol and a food excess don’t help the digestive system to recover well!- Finally, resting after the event is also beneficial for the intestinal mucosa.

This month, we’ve tried new comings in the sports dietetics field, discover Duo Tonic, with some convenient and ecological pro-

    ducts.

    Duo Tonic?

Encore uA new brand again which arrives in the sports dietetics field. To tell the truth, we could get lost, and the coming of a new competitor is not always synonym of innovation. It’s not the case for Duo Tonic, which arrives with a new quite seducing concept. DUO TONIC is willing to answer to every athletes’ and professionals’ expectations looking for an efficient but also convenient and ecological product, 2 points sometimes neglected so far.

Why are the DUO TONIC pro-ducts innovating?

DUO TONIC offers to athletes a 2 in 1 drink or gel product, alternative to powder concepts that we find on the market. DUO TONIC offers an eco-responsible solution to athletes using carbohydrate gels. Fill in your iso or maltodextrin gel flasks and don’t forget them on the side of the road, reuse them!

    The concept

Contrary to its competitors, DUO TONIC pro-

ducts are not in powder, but already liquid. Pro-ducts are delivered in 500ml bottles, allowing to realize 10 liters of drink, or 20 to 25ml gels. We’ll see that later. DUO TONIC has really thought about its contai-ner in order to make it the most convenient possible. The box is transparent and has 20 gra-duations. One graduation makes 500ml of drink. When using it, it’s really convenient compared to a classical powder box. You just have to fill in a bottle of water and pour 1 graduation of product, nothing more. And there’s no risk to put it somewhere else than in the bottle, which is not always obvious with powder. Another convenient aspect is its shape, the DUO TONIC box is really compact, thus very easy to bring during your training camps or races. Finally, take it into account, the container is reu-sable, don’t throw it when it’s empty, it could fit for example in a running bottle belt. The concept comes in 3 different products, for each important moment of an athlete’s life: prepa-ration, effort and recovery.

    Malto / before the effort

Drink of carbohydrate reload, Duo-Malto has to be consumed two to three days prior to an event, or during a long-lasting event.

Drinking 1 liter per day of Duo-Malto in the last two days prior to your race, will increase your glycogen which will be crucial in the last part of your race. We’ve tried Duo-Malto (citrus) before an impor-tant race. The first thing to say is that the product is agreeable to drink. It makes you want to drink more regularly than a simple bottle of water, when we know the importance of hydration before a long distance event, it’s already a good point. Regarding efficiency, it’s very hard to quantify. What we can as-sert is that we had neither a feeling of hungriness or of emptiness while getting closer to the race, nor any digestive problem. MALTO is available in 3 different tastes: citrus, red fruits and peach tea.Duo-Malto is available from 20,99€ and allows to realize 10 liters of drink.

    ISO / during the effort

DUO TONIC ISO brings something new in the ener-getic products field. ISO is a 2 in 1 product, it allows to do an isotonic drink, or your own gels. For a drink:Take regularly 2 to 3 mouthfuls of isotonic drink meaning 500ml per hour. As a drink, the concept is really seducing, would it be just for the convenient idea of dosage. What a sim-plicity! Regarding the created drink, it is important to note that it’s very agreeable. The dosage is perfect, enough to give an appreciable taste, without making the drink sickening. Regarding efficiency, there’s no-thing to say as well, we’ve tried this drink in the same way as usual with some more well-known brands, we haven’t noticed any difference of yield, everything is good then. ISO drink is available from 19,99€ and allows to rea-lize 10 liters of isotonic drink. For a gel:Take one mouthful of gel before a difficult part, and take it with 1 to 2 mouthfuls of water or isotonic drink, or take 20ml of gel every 45 minutes of effort. If you use it as a gel, the concept is really convenient and very ecological. To tell the truth, the concept seems so logical that we wonder why it’s not gene-ralized.

    It’s simple, you use the duo-ISO pure, without di-lution, that you pour in a reusable flask of gel. The «packaging» of the gel is excellent on the road, ta-king the gel is very simple. The tube swings, you can put it properly in your pockets. Even if it’s not a reason, you have now no excuse to throw a gel away! Once you get home, you’ll just have to clean your flask and it will be ready for a new use. Note that two flasks are available, with one of them that you can put in your running belt.Available from 19,99€, ISO allows to realize 20 gels of 35 grams, that is to say less than 1€ for one gel.ISO is available in 3 different tastes: citrus, red fruits and peach tea;

    RECUP / After the effort

Recovery drink with proteins and carbs. A bottle of 500ml contains the equivalent of 10 liters of drink. Dilute a dose of Duo-Recup in 500ml of milk, soy milk, rice of oat milk (taking Duo-Recup with a dairy drink will increase the level of proteins in your recovery drink). The composing of this drink will help you to reload your body with carbs and proteins needed for a good recovery. Once again, the concept makes the dosage of the recovery drink easier. It’s appreciable, above all when we finish a hard session and that lucidity be-gins to be lacking. The drink is rather tasty and is very easy to drink, above all when the product is diluted with milk. Regarding efficiency, it’s again

    TRIhebdo36

    http://www.duotonic.com/pendant-effort.htmhttp://castelli-cycling.com/en/home/

  • very complicated to give a decisive opinion. We’ve been drinking it everyday of a big training week, we can assert that we began everyday in great shape, even the day after a very intensive training day. RECUP is available in two tastes: vanilla and cho-colate. RECUP drink is available from 21,99€ and allows to realize 10 liters of drink.

    Conclusion

Duo-Tonic products have really seduced us, es-pecially because they bring something new, but above all something useful. Of course, ISO is the most remarkable for us, with its capacity to be used as an isotonic drink as well as gels. To sum up, Duo Tonic comes in the market of quality, convenient, efficient, ecological, and rather cheap products, especially to create gels.

My Own perfect saddle by Prologo

During the Eurobike, we could try the new Prologo tool, the My Own perfect saddle. Find the best saddle... for you!

Test réalized by Sébastien RODRIGUEZ, photos SR©copyrights

    TRIhebdo 41

    MATERIAL

    Presentation

Find the innovative My own system in every authorized dealers. My Own is a biomechanical system that allows you to choose the saddle that best suits your physiology and end use. The system uses a base made in gel material that perfectly defines the distance between the ischial tuberosity and the concavity below the pelvic area. Advanced software (prologomyown.com) processes this data in order to identify the most correct saddle. The test is fast and accurate.

Step 1 : Choose your practice

Our R&D laboratory activities and the collaboration with pro Teams has allowed us to develop specific saddles for each use. My Own System identify the best solution according to own discipline and degree of performance. (Expert or Friendly User).

Step 2 : Measure of hamstrings

During this step the profile of the under pelvic concavity and the distance of the ischial tuberosities support which change according to the gender and physical characteristics of each individual are measured. Even the cycling posture determines this distance: the greater the slope, the smaller the distance. Sit down on the station and keep your knees at 90° grip the handles at the side and push your weight onto the gel.

Step 3 : Measure of the lumbar flexibility

The pelvis flexibility is similar to the style of sitting on the bike in some case and shows how the cyclist is able to bend forward. This survey is carried out with a digital inclinometer machine when the subject is in the flexed position: sit on My Own station, spread the legs apart putting your arms between and try to touch the floor with the palms of your hands.

  • MATERIAL

Step 4 : Calculate your BMI

The BMI calculation is done automatically by the My Own software, entering weight and height. This data is important to see how much will be the mass imposed on the seat and allows it to focus to a product with a specific shape and the best comfort in relation to the physical condition of each rider.

Step 5 : Discover the saddle that suits you

Thanks to My Own system you can identify the saddle closest to your needs. Now you have only to test it on the road! The Try&Buy test program is available on the authorized Prologo stores . You can choose the best solution for you.

    Conclusion

My Own concept is obviously interesting. Choosing a saddle is never easy, there are lots of models on the market. The less experienced athletes must be lost. With My Own, you have a program which takes into account your practice and your physiognomy, and you will avoid a big mistake in your choice of saddle. The only cons, even if it is comprehensible, is that the software tends to guide you towards the premium model of the brand corresponding to your needs. For example, the software has defined as best choice for us the Prologo Tri CPC, with carbon tracks, rather than stainless steel tracks.
