OPEN ACCESS OPERATORS

• Since 2009 Veolia runs between Stockholm and Malmö on the South Main Line

• Skandinaviska Jernbaner is running on the West Main Line Stockholm – Göteborg since 2012

• MTR is running on the West Main Line since march 2015. A problem for these new business concepts is the lack of capacity on the West Main Line where the Swedish Transport Administration has to decide which traffic will have priority

• It remains to be seen how the profitability will be affected by the introduced competition on the line and its effects on the former national operator, SJAB.
