The standard specification of your Sprinter includes one thing above all: your safety. It is the first van to be equipped as standard with Crosswind Assist1, which uses strategic brake applications to counter any tendency to drift off to the side and so helps you stay on course.

Our innovative safety packages, available as special equipment options, use advanced radar and sensor technology to monitor the surrounding traffic and support you as you carry out your transport task.

COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST, for example, a component of the Driving Assistance package, can warn you actively if the distance to vehicles ahead is insufficient. So the Sprinter no longer needs to hide in the shadow of any passenger car.

The Sprinter models are up for anything that will make your daily work easier. The panel van’s cargo volume of up to 17 m3, for example, can be loaded from three sides1 if need be, while the crewbus can carry up to nine occupants and the chassis can deliver a payload of up to 3050 kg (weight of body included) safely to its destination. Whatever you’re planning: your Sprinter will make it possible, even if it involves carry ing seven Europallets.2

In the shape of the Sprinter chassis, with either standard frame or low frame1, we offer the excellent load-carrying capacity required to support whatever superstructure you wish to add: each offers three different wheelbases and a payload of up to 3050 kg (incl. body) to provide a solid basis for the most diverse range of specialist sectors and needs.

Mercedes-Benz cooperates in this respect closely and intensively with qualified bodybuilders and is thus able to offer you a comprehensive level of support. By combining our expertise with the know-how of the bodybuilders, we are able to provide an extremely wide range of body types of a very high quality – from vehicles for the construction industry and the trades to box-body vans and refrig erated vehicles as well as vehicles for the police and rescue services. Your Mercedes-Benz van dealer will be happy to help you find the right body solution for your enterprise.

The chassis with standard frame and weights of 3.5 t and 3.88 t is available with wheelbases of 3250 mm, 3665 mm and 4325 mm, at a weight of 5.0 t with wheelbases of 3665 mm or 4325 mm.

The Sprinter chassis as a basis for all manner of bodywork superstructures2. It can be equipped with a fuel-saving, aerodynamic integral box body, used as a refrigerated or deep-freeze vehicle, or converted into a three-way tipper, to name but a few examples.

With the optional 7G-TRONIC PLUS 7-speed automatic transmission, the Sprinter is the first and only van in its class to offer the efficiency, smooth running characteristics and ride comfort of a passenger car. The innovative 7G-TRONIC PLUS technology increases the shifting efficiency of the transmission and so contributes to the low fuel consumption of the Sprinter.

○ COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST2. Gives visible and audible warnings if the distance to a vehicle or obstacle is insufficient and uses BAS PRO to provide assistance with emergency braking.

○ Blind Spot Assist2. Helps avoid accidents by detecting vehicles in the blind spot and giving the driver visible and audible warnings.

○ Bi-xenon headlamps with LED daytime running lamps and cornering light function. Safety is increased through the better illumination of the immediately adjacent area.

○ Bench seats for passenger compartment. A range of different bench seats are available for carrying passengers. Quick-release fittings make installing or removing them an easy task.

○ Twin co-driver’s seat. Allows a third person to travel up front. The optional table function provides an additional storage surface; the seat base can be used as a stowage compartment.

● Rear doors. The symmetrical rear doors secure themselves automatically at an opening angle of 180°. As an option. 270° rear doors are also available.

● Load-securing rings in the platform floor. Load-securing rings with higher load limit as standard; optional tensioning straps.

Electric step for the load-compartment sliding door. The comfortable way to get in and out of your vehicle: the electric step extends and retracts automatically when the load compartment sliding door is opened or closed.

○ Anchoring rails at belt line. Can be used in combination with securing straps to secure bulky, half-height loads.

○ Plywood load compartment panelling (roof-high). Plywood panels up to the roof edge protect the sheet-metal skin against damage, e.g. caused by sliding cargo.

○ Steering wheel adjustable for height and reach. The wide adjustment range ensures that drivers of different sizes can quickly find the optimum seating position.

○ Load retainer system. Lashing rails fitted flush with the floor are a fast and simple means of restraining cargoes of varying sizes.

○ Mounting rails for roof racks. The two rails recessed into the roof allow roof racks, roof boxes and other roof systems to be fitted.

○ Rear step. A special rear step is available, for vehicles with or without trailer coupling. A sprung rear step is also available.2

● Side rub strips. Wide plastic strips protect the bodywork from minor damage.

● Load-securing rings in load compartment floor. Can be used in combination with the optionally available tensioning straps to restrain the cargo.
