Blake Smith introduced his returning guest Seth Leishman from Ostroffe Financial Fines brought a few to bell ringer status thanks to Eric Trygg's recent plant escapade and purchases. Eric passed on fines to Eric Fredrickson who recently bought a new BMW motorcycle, and Steve Sarantopolous, who recently enjoyed some time in Tahoe. Principle Chris Roberts from Lyman Gilmore Middle School, introduced the students of the month for April. He also invited us to attend the 4th Annual Flight Day at Lyman Gilmore on May 18th, from 9:00-12:55, those interested in attending, please contact him by phone or email. Other announcements included: District Assembly - Sat. April 9th at The Atlantis Resort Reno from 8-3 Rotary at Work day - Saturday 4/16 – sign-up sheet going around Gold Country Challenge on 5/14/16. The challenge is on with 39 days to go, and over 100 riders signed up. The sign-up sheet continues to circulate for all to check and make sure they are signed up. Commit- tee for the event will meet at Toffanelli's on 4/5/16 at 7:30. All spon- sors need to be in by April 18th. Area Rotary Instrumental Music Contest is this coming Sunday, April 10th at 2:00 at The Seventh Day Adventists Church, on Osborn Hill, Rd. in Grass Valley. All are encouraged to attend. District Conference: May 12-15 in Reno Don and Anita Daniels will be representing our club by running The House of Friendship. They are looking for a nice display board. It was suggested that Fred and Sandra may be able to help prepare a slideshow. This week’s spoke notes by: Kris Stepanian Rotarian of the Month Recognition was given to: Anita Daniels for the month of March Larry Fowler for the month of April Marcia Salter introduced two outbound Rotary Youth Exchange students, who are both currently in their sophomore year at Nevada Union High School. After this school year, Daniel is going to Germany and Eliza is going to Denmark. Bobbie gave a big thank you to Marcia for the work she has done this year with the students and intro- duced the speaker, Jasmine Moska. Jasmine is our RYE student from Argentina, and she shared with a nice presentation about where she is from and her experience here. The winning ticket went to Larry Fowler, and he drew a white marble.
