We are starting a new segment in the Shout Out and it is our Student Spotlight. Once a month we will interview a Notary2Pro graduate. This month we have Nakia Camp-bell from Tennessee. Nakia became a Loan Signing Agent after she saw how much a fellow notary made do-ing loan signings. Nakia did research and came across Notary2Pro. After speaking to the owner, Carol Ray, she signed up immediately. When asked what the most challenging part of her busi-ness was she replied that it was last minute signings and the uncertainty of them. Nakia feels that by accepting last minute signings she could possibly jeopardize her income because she had to turn down other signings. But the upside to working as a Loan Signing Agent; she can not only set her own hours but she has the flexibility to set her own schedule so that she can be more involved with her family. We asked Nakia the three most important things to make someone successful in this business. The first is ed-ucation. After taking Notary2Pro she was confident and educated on how to do a loan signing. She was able to pass the competitions exam without even looking over their material and received their certification because it was a necessity to gain work. Nakia said the second thing to help make you successful is the right equipment to run your business. Know what is out there; you don’t have to invest thousands but getting the best suited equipment for your business will save you money. If you purchase a cheap printer, for example; and it constantly breaks down, eats ink or is too slow, it can eventually cost you in the long run. I just completed your Notary Signing Agent Course (and the other courses included in the package). I must say I am very impressed with the content and knowledge provided by your courses. I have been doing mobile notary signings for about a year now. However, I have been a paralegal for 20 years and have facilitated about 2,000 signings over the past 10 years in that capacity. I also have a New Jersey Real Estate License since 2003. With all of my training and experience, I still found that your course provides a wealth of essential information specifically designed for the mobile notary signing agent. There are many tips and "tricks of the trade" that are included in your materials. You are very thorough in explaining the loan documents and touch on every aspect of the loan signing process and the role of the notary within that process. I have also taken the NNA certification course and if I had to compare the two, your course would get my vote, hands down.
