Text in Local History Records, vol. 89. The shops were originally numbered 1–9 starting from thetop of the parade, but only 7 were shops, the remaining two converted into residential houses. Whenthe road was numbered they were reversed and started from the bottom. Research for these shopswas done in 2013 but information was sparse.

We provide a complete range of services covering every aspect ofmodern vehicle care’.Mr.Ganfield: This blacksmith occupied the building to the rear of the garage for many years. I haveno information about him but I know he was there, followed by his son from the 1950s to the 1980s.
