REVIEW I agree with the first

review because the film doesn't have as much blood that you would expect from a horror film, because it’s subgenre is psychological horror. However because of the intense music it builds up suspense which creates the horror and fear for us whist watching the film.

I agree with the two reviews (on the right) because the setting of the film and the choice of location does make the audience more aware of how isolated the characters are and it brings to light that anything may happen that may lead to the characters not being able to escape. Just like most psychological horror its confusing to begin with but once you start getting into the film it all becomes clear and frightening which is helped by the settings used in the film.

FILM POSTERS The official film poster for the film.

The poster fulfill the conventions of a horror film because: they are in bold colors and font. The title of the film is at the center which catches the attention of the audience. In the yellow poster there is a vivid face in the title. The effect this has is that it makes the audience wonder who is that person or is it even a humans face. It brings a lot of questions to mind.

Also the background colour of the poster is yellow so that it can enhance the black of the fonts. Yellow also connotes danger as its seen a lot on danger signs and warnings which implies the genre of the film. On top of the poster there’s a comment saying ‘a masterpiece of modern horror’ This gives an indication of a positive review for the film.
