DESCRIPTION: The counterfeit circuit breakers are marked as Square D in the QO series. The models are QO115 (about 7,800 units), QO120 (about 26,300 units), QO130 (about 3,200 units), QO215 (about 350 units), QO220 (about 720 units), QO230 (about 1,780 units), QO240 (about 1,130 units), QO250 (about 1,150 units) and QO260 (about 1,150 units). Genuine Square D QO breakers have the following: (1) the amp rating written on the handle in white paint on the front of the breaker, (2) the Square D insignia molded onto the breaker side; (3) a yellow chromate clip with half of the top of the clip visible. If your breaker does not match this description, it could be counterfeit.

HAZARD

The recalled circuit breakers labeled "Square D" or "SQD" have been determined to be counterfeit by Square D and can fail to trip when they are overloaded, posing a fire hazard to consumers.

DESCRIPTION: This recall involves Levana wireless baby monitors with model number LV-TW300. The receiver front is white and green with six round buttons and the printed word "Levana". It is 7 inches tall and includes a stand/base. The camera is all white, about 5 inches tall and is attached to a 3 1/2 inch long white base. The camera can rotate and swivel in various directions. The camera and receiver each has its own A/C adapter.

HAZARD

Wiring in the baby monitor camera can overheat and emit smoke, posing a burn hazard to consumers.

INCIDENTS/INJURIES

Circus World Displays has received two reports of the camera portion of the monitors overheating and smoking. No injuries have been reported.

USA NAME OF PRODUCT: Counterfeit BlackBerry-branded cell phone batteries in refurbished devices

UNITS: About 470,000

DISTRIBUTOR: Asurion, of Smyrna, Tenn.

DESCRIPTION: This recall involves only BlackBerry-branded batteries provided with refurbished Blackberry-branded devices. The refurbished devices were sent to consumers by Asurion through a handset protection program. The batteries were used across virtually all models of refurbished BlackBerry devices distributed by Asurion prior to November 1, 2009. Genuine Blackberry-branded batteries are not included in this recall. No other Asurion or BlackBerry products are involved in this recall.

DISTRIBUTED THROUGH: Asurion as part of their handset protection claim program nationwide from March 2004 through October 2009.

INCIDENTS/INJURIES

Asurion has received two reports of counterfeit BlackBerry-branded batteries overheating, causing minor burns to a consumer's finger and minor property damage to a sofa and car seat.

The product poses a risk of choking for children because it is possible that the Sonya Lee figure may break at the waist during play and release a small part (plastic washer) which could be placed in the mouth.

DESCRIPTION: This recall involves a wooden toy rattle with light brown stain, eight wooden dowels and a gold-colored metal rattle inside. The toy rattle is circular in shape, measuring 2 3/4 inches by 2 inches.


HAZARD

The wooden dowels can be installed at an angle, allowing the metal rattle inside to become exposed. This poses a serious choking hazard to young children.

INCIDENTS/INJURIES

The firm is aware of four incidents of the metal rattle becoming exposed. No injuries have been reported.

HAZARDS

If the handle becomes detached from the Buggy, the adult would not have control over the Buggy. If a child is in the Buggy when the handle detaches, the Buggy could roll away from the adult.

DEFECTS

Affected Buggies have pins with yellow knobs on the back of the Buggy. The yellow knob pin can become loose and allow the handle to separate from the Buggy. Buggies with handles attached with a bolt and screw are not affected.

CONSUMERS ACTION

Consumers should inspect their Buggy. If the Buggy has a pin with a yellow plastic knob, immediately stop using the Buggy and contact your local retailer for a repair kit. Do not use the Buggy until the repair kit is installed.

HAZARDS

Although there have been no incidents of injuries caused by the Drum, if the clip were to break a child could put the broken piece in their mouth posing a choking hazard.

DEFECTS

The clip that holds the drum stick can break causing small parts to be generated. Drums without clips on the side of the drum are not affected.

CONSUMERS ACTION

DESCRIPTION: This recall involves the Little People Play 'n Go Campsite. The seven-piece plastic play set includes Sonya Lee, a tent and other accessories. Product number R6935 is printed on the toy's packaging. The name Sonya Lee is printed on the underside of the figure. Only Sonya Lee figures that bend at the waist, have a green sweater and purple camera around the neck are included in this recall. No other Sonya Lee figure is affected. The remaining pieces of the Little People Play 'n Go Campsite are not affected.


HAZARD

The plastic Sonya Lee figure in the play set can break at the waist, exposing small parts that pose a choking hazard to young children.

INCIDENTS/INJURIES

The firm has received eight reports of the Sonya Lee figure breaking. No injuries have been reported.

HAZARD

Legs on the Belle vanity bench can detach at the weld and allow the bench to collapse, posing a fall hazard to consumers.

INCIDENTS/INJURIES

LaMont has received two reports of a leg on the vanity bench detaching at the weld, causing the consumer to fall and sustain minor bruising.

HAZARD

A plastic connector which attaches to the arm of the umbrella can break, causing the umbrella to collapse. This poses a risk of injury to the user.

The firm has received 21 reports of units collapsing. Minor injuries were reported in three of those incidents including a bruise, abrasion and nausea.
