The death in India of Sir Charles Pardey Lukis, Director- General of Indian Medical Services, aged 60, is announced. He entered the Indian Medical Service in 1880 and served with the Mashood Wuzeeree Expedition in 1881 and with the Lohob Valley Expeditton three years later. He became Civil Surgeon of Simla in 1899 and in 1905 was appointed principal and professor of medicine in Calcutta Medical College and senior physician at the College Hospital. In 1910 he was appointed Director-General.

General of Indian Medical Services, aged 60, is announced. He enteredthe Indian Medical Service in 1880 and served with the MashoodWuzeeree Expedition in 1881 and with the Lohob Valley Expedittonthree years later. He became Civil Surgeon of Simla in 1899 and in1905 was appointed principal and professor of medicine in CalcuttaMedical College and senior physician at the College Hospital. In 1910he was appointed Director-General.
