A NOTE FROM OUR FOUNDERAt The European Nature Trust (TENT) we create unique experiences that connect people to nature and raise funds for the protection and restoration of European wilderness.

The rugged landscapes and stunning scenery of the Scottish Highlands ignite a drive in me to bring back the wilderness that was here long before we were. Our conservation journeys offer an opportunity to connect with these wild areas, and to discover, learn about and be inspired by the beautiful surroundings, all whilst supporting fantastic conservation initiatives that are restoring the highlands to their former glory.

We are so looking forward to hosting you as you explore the wild delights of Scotland.

A HIGHLAND JOURNEYJust an hour’s drive north of Inverness, Alladale Lodge is ready to welcome you and your friends to a very exclusive stay, where the hospitality and ranger teams will ensure you have a fun-packed time in the lodge and out on the wilderness reserve.

Alladale Wilderness Reserve’s 100 sq kms feature ten hill lochs, two rivers and the UK’s most northerly Caledonian pine forest. The Reserve is a pioneering re-wilding project within the UK, and has been the focus of numerous TV productions and commercial shoots.

Days can be filled with healthy hikes, biking, fly fishing, 4x4 safari, wildlife spotting, photography, picnics, foraging or simply just relaxing.

We pride ourselves on serving eco-local food and much of the vegetables and herbs are sourced from our very own gardens. Dinners are served in the candle-lit dining room and can be followed by a game of snooker, whilst enjoying a fine malt or chatting around the fireplace.

TENT’s Highland Conservation Journey is suitable for groups of between 8 and 12 people. If you wish to travel in a smaller group, we will be happy to speak with you.

We will discuss with you in advance all details for your fully inclusive trip including bespoke aspects, dietary requirements, and the best season to travel for wildlife spotting.

SCOTTISH WILDLIFE & HOWLAlladale Wilderness Reserve (AWR) is an active participant in the recovery of the threatened Scottish wildcat. As part of a captive breeding project in partnership with the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland, TENT has been breeding wildcats since 2011.

As well as this, in 2013 TENT successfully released 36 red squirrels at Alladale Wilderness Reserve. Today, the squirrels have successfully bred and extended their range far and wide.

The HOWL programme was established by AWR in 2007 and is an integral part of the AWR and TENT vision. HOWL offers a specially designed, and expert-led environmental journey for school children during which participants not only improve their understanding about the natural world, ecology and conservation but also learn key life skills.

TENT’S ETHOSLess than 4% of Europe’s wilderness remains*. We want you to join us in supporting the vital work of our partner projects as they protect and expand these last remaining wild places.

TENT’s mission is simple: we use travel, events and film to inspire people and connect them to nature.

Most importantly, TENT has a 100% promise – 100% of every single donation is directed through the charity to leading conservation projects on the ground, where it matters.

‘I recently had a superlative few days at Alladale!

It is breathtakingly beautiful and I loved all the walks and the variety of landscapes. I am filled with admiration for the huge task that Paul Lister and his team have set

themselves. These projects are not for the faint hearted, when we consider how little Caledonian forest is left your restoration work is extraordinary; driving land use

change is not easy.

The staff were superb, every little detail was carefully considered - from each delicious meal, home-grown, to the interesting and informative guided tours. Our

visit to the wildcat project was really moving. ‘
