FROM THE MANAGER’S DESK

Remember all those that served; Be safe this Memorial Day. Happy Mother's Day to all our Mom's!

I would like to thank all the pool volunteers that maintained the pool for all these years. As the years go by, we are finding it harder and harder to get volunteers to help at the pool. Therefore we are hiring two Lifeguards for the pool hours this year. No volunteers for the pool. There will be some small changes due to no relief for the lifeguards during their breaks and some pool added responsibilities. When they break for lunch, dinner and 10 min breaks, people will be asked to leave the pool area and return when the Lifeguard returns on duty. (Both Lifeguards will be Morgan Management Employees) They will follow our rules and regulations. Pool hours will remain the same. Pool open-ing will be May 25, 2014. No pool pass, no entry. If you need a new pool pass come to the Sales Office. $1.00 per pass.

Pets: Now that the weather is getting nicer we have noticed and so has your neighbors, the dog feces in many yards. Please clean up after your pets and keep them on a supervised leash.

New Resident Meet & Greet: This was a wonderful turn out. Thank You for coming and sharing in this event. Thank you to the Committee Members & Board Members who attended. Great to see everyone!

Very Truly Yours, Debra DeMars Community Manager

THE PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE ~ MAY 2014

May is the month of mothers. Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers in our community and to all those who love like a mother. No matter where we come from or how much we do or don’t have, the love of a mother is something that all of us cherish. We are taught to honor our mother and respect her for the life she gave us. As Mother’s Day approaches let us remember the special women who shaped our lives and loved us through all of life’s ups and downs.

Raffle tickets are now on sale for the Free Rent promotion! The winner will be selected at the June 5th Residents Meeting. Tickets can be purchased for $1/each, $5 for 6 or $10 for 13 tickets. Tickets can be purchased by contacting Joan Dawes. Tickets can be purchased all throughout the month of May! Please purchase your tickets for a chance to win a month at Gypsum Mills rent free! We will also be having an election at the June Residents Meeting to fill two vacant Board positions. Please plan on attend-ing June 5th to be a part of these 2 important community affairs.

Gypsum Mills will be having a Pasta Dinner fundraiser on May 17th. All monies raised will be used to fund the cost of our very popular July Music Festival. Please see the ad in this edition of The Scoop for specific details. Hope to see you there!

May is also the month when we can all heave a collected sigh of relief that the long winter has passed. I look forward to seeing all of you, my neighbors, out and about in our community now that we have warmer temperatures. Spring has Sprung!

The cold winter has passed and now comes Spring. The newly hatched baby birds will cause the mother birds to sing.

The warm sun comes out, little cherry blossoms are in bloom. Beautiful roses will open up and smell of sweet perfume.

The winds soft breeze passes through the tall trees. There will be plenty of work for the busy honey bees.

From flower to flower, they fly & buzz all day. Spring is that magical time during the month of May!

Fondly, Hugh N. Crowley, President Gypsum Mills Board of Directors
