Join us for the Lunch with Judges program with JusticeBarbara Vigil on Wednesday, Jan. 22 from 11:30 a.m. to1:30 p.m. at the New Mexico Supreme Court in Santa Fe.Space is limited to 28 attendees.
LUNCH WITH SECOND JUDICIAL COURTJUDGESThe first Lunch with Judges will take place on Friday, Jan. 17at noon. Join Hon. Joshua A. Allison, Hon. Alisa A. Hart andHon. Jane Levy for lunch at the Bernalillo CountyCourthouse. Space is limited to 20 attendees.

ALTERNATIVE METHODS OF DISPUTERESOLUTION (ADR)
The ADR Committee helps to expand the use ofalternative methods for the resolution of conflict.The committee is composed of mediators andattorneys who further support the community byexpanding practical access to such methods ofdispute resolution.
COMMITTEE ON WOMEN AND THE LEGALPROFESSION (CWLP)
The Committee on Women and the LegalProfession is open to all members of the State Bar.The CWLP seeks to address issues adverselyaffecting female lawyers and judges and promotessystemic changes and opportunities to advance therole of women in the legal profession.
COMMITTEE ON DIVERSITY IN THE LEGALPROFESSION (CDLP)
The Committee on Diversity in the Legal Professionpromotes opportunities for minorities in the legalprofession and encourages participation byminorities in bar programs and activities. They aimto strengthen diversity and inclusion of theincoming generation of lawyers.
THE ETHICS ADVISORY COMMITTEE (EAC)
The Ethics Advisory Committee responds to specificrequests for ethics advisory opinions frommembers of the State Bar. The EAC reviews formalopinions issued by the ABA Center for ProfessionalResponsibility. If you need personal assistanceregarding your question, you may also contact theEthics Hotline at 1-800-326-8155.

HISTORICAL COMMITTEE
The Historical Committee holds an annualpresentation that is free to all members of theState Bar. While not all presentations are lawrelated, the topics range from educational toentertaining. Lunch is provided at thepresentation. Keep an eye out in the fall for the2020 presentation!

The Legal Service and Programs Committeefacilitates cooperation and coordination of the legalservices provided by various segments of the StateBar and increases public access to the civil justicesystem. The host the annual Breaking Good VideoContest that awards high school students scholarship.Learn more about this initiative on their website!
NEW MEXICO MEDICAL REVIEW COMMITTEE
The Medical Malpractice Act mandates thescreening of all applications of alleged medicalmalpractice against a qualified medical provider bythe Medical Review Commission. The Act providesfor three panel members from the medicalprofession and three panel members from theState Bar to review each application. You do nothave to have a medical background to participate inthis committee!
