    FOREWORD

I am a Christian beginning to realize that God is my loving

Father in heaven as proven by the death of His only Beloved

    Son as Jesus the Christ.

In the unfolding pages, all negative connotations have been

made in reference to me. I do not speak for or of others.

This is a result of personal experiences and observations. Thisis by no means a sermon of any sort nor does it serve to

generalize the Christian experience. I am no Bible teacher or

pastor. I am the beloved child of God getting to know (as a

privilege) Him as a loving Father.

If you have been blessed by this e-book, let all the glory and

praise redound to my loving Father in heaven in Jesus Name.

If you find anything amiss, let God judge my heart.

    Synopsis

Comparing what the Old Testament says about what the trueMessiah will suffer with what Jesus the Man has suffered as

recorded in the New Testament is the way to prove that Jesus

the Man is the Promised Messiah.

This is the reason our Lord Jesus allowed things to happen to

Him so that what the Old Testament said about Him could be

fulfilled as proof of His identity as the Promised Saviour.

I believe this was what the Apostle did as can be seen from

Acts 9:22, But Saul increased all the more in strength, and

continued to confound andput to confusion the Jews who lived

in Damascus by comparing andexamining evidence

andproving that Jesus is the Christ (the Messiah).

What God said would happen to the Promised Saviour in the

Old Testament was fulfilled in the Person of Jesus the Man.

Hence our Lord Jesus said in John 5:36, But I have as My

witness something greater (weightier, higher, better) than that

of John; for the works that the Father has appointed Me to

accomplish andfinish, the very same works that I am now

doing, are a witness andproof that the Father has sent Me.

    The Saviours Identity

God promised to send a Saviour in Genesis 3:15.And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and

between your offspring and her Offspring; He will

bruise andtread your head underfoot, and you will lie in

    wait andbruise His heel.

The Person of the Promised Saviour was hidden in the Old

Testament and revealed in the New Testament.

The Jews of His day expected the Saviour to overthrow the

Roman regime and re-establish the Davidic dynasty. This is

evident from Acts 1:6, So when they were assembled, they

asked Him, Lord, is this the time when You will reestablish the

kingdom and restore it to Israel? That was the expected sign of

    the Promised Saviour.

The Jews did not believe that Jesus was the Christ. This can

be seen in Luke 24:19, About Jesus ofNazareth, Who was a

Prophet mighty in work and word before God and all the

people. They regarded Jesus as one of the Prophets in the

    Old Testament.

Our Lord Jesus revealed in Luke 24:26 the manner in which

the true Messiah was to be identified, that it wasnecessaryandessentially fitting that the Christ (the Messiah)

should suffer all these things before entering into His glory (His

    majesty and splendor).

Hence, comparing what the Old Testament says about what the

true Messiah will suffer with what Jesus the Man has suffered

as recorded in the New Testament is the way to prove that

Jesus the Man is the Promised Messiah.

I believe this was what the Apostle did as can be seen from

Acts 9:22, But Saul increased all the more in strength, and

continued to confound andput to confusion the Jews who lived

in Damascus by comparing andexamining evidenceandproving that Jesus is the Christ (the Messiah).

We prove the identity of Jesus the Man as the Messiah, the

Christ, Gods Promised Saviour from the scriptures. Then

having proven that identity, we look to His death as the show

and proof of Gods great and everlasting love for us all

    [Romans 5:8].

This is the reason our Lord Jesus allowed things to happen to

Him so that what the Old Testament said about Him could be

fulfilled as proof of His identity as the Promised Saviour.

Matthew 26:56 - But all this has taken place in order that the

Scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the

disciples deserted Him and, fleeing, escaped.

Mark 14:49 - I was with you daily in the temple [porches and

courts] teaching, and you did not seize Me; but [this has

happened] that the Scriptures might be fulfilled.

John 5:46, For if you believed andrelied on Moses, you would

believe andrely on Me, for he wrote about Me [personally].

John 15:25 - But [this is so] that the word written in their Lawmight be fulfilled, They hated Me without a cause.

John 17:12 - While I was with them, I kept andpreserved them

in Your Name [in the knowledge and worship of You]. Those

You have given Me I guarded andprotected, and not one of

them has perished oris lost except the son of perdition [JudasIscariotthe one who is now doomed to destruction, destined

to be lost], that the Scripture might be fulfilled.

John 19:36 - For these things took place, that the Scripture

might be fulfilled (verified, carried out), Not one of His bones

    shall be broken;

Jesus said in John 5:39, You search andinvestigate andporeover the Scriptures diligently, because you suppose andtrust

that you have eternal life through them. And these [very

    Scriptures] testify about Me!

To paraphrase John 5:39, you study the scriptures diligently to

find out the identity of the Promised Saviour. All that the

scriptures said would happen to the Promised Saviour are

happening to me. Yet you dont recognise me as the Promised

    Saviour. What dah?!?

Our Lord Jesus summed it up in John 5:36, But I have as My

witness something greater (weightier, higher, better) than that

of John; for the works that the Father has appointed Me to

accomplish andfinish, the very same works that I am now

doing, are a witness andproof that the Father has sent Me.What God said would happen to the Promised Saviour was

fulfilled in the Person of Jesus the Man.

The Pharisees and scribes of Jesus day were experts in the

Old Testament. Yet, they missed the fact that whatever the

scriptures said would happen to the Promised Saviour was

actually happening to Jesus the Man. If they had seen thefulfillment of the Old Testament in the Person of Jesus the Man,

they would have known that He is the Promised Saviour.

The Pharisees and Scribes had their focus misplaced. I believe

they were more interested in displaying their knowledge and

holiness or spiritualism. They missed the whole purpose of

studying the scriptures to identity the Promised Saviour.

Mark 4:12, You search andinvestigate andpore over the

Scriptures diligently, because you suppose andtrust that you

have eternal life through them. And these [very Scriptures]

    testify about Me!

Matthew 13:13, This is the reason that I speak to them in

    parables: because having the power of seeing, they do not see;

and having the power of hearing, they do not hear, nor do they

    grasp andunderstand.

Matthew 13:14, In them indeed is the process of fulfillment of

the prophecy of Isaiah, which says: You shall indeed hear

andhear but never grasp andunderstand; and you shall indeed

look andlook but never see andperceive.

Isaiah 6:9, And He said, Go and tell this people, Hearandhearcontinually, but understand not; and see andsee continually,

but do not apprehend with your mind.

At the time ofJesus earthly ministry, many claimed to be the

Messiah (in Hebrew) or the Christ (in Greek).

God revealed to John the Baptist:

    John 1:32-34

32 John gave further evidence, saying, I have seen the Spirit

descending as a dove out of heaven, and it dwelt on Him [never

    to depart].

33 And I did not know Him nor recognize Him, but He Who sent

me to baptize in (with) water said to me, Upon Him Whom youshall see the Spirit descend and remain, that One is He Who

    baptizes with the Holy Spirit.

34 And I have seen [that happenI actually did see it] and my

testimony is that this is the Son of God!

John the Baptist was tasked to point the Jews to the one and

only Promised Saviour.Yet the ultimate witness or conclusive evidence of Jesus the

Man as the Promised Saviour is found in John 5:36, But I have

as My witness something greater (weightier, higher, better)

than that of John; for the works that the Father has appointed

Me to accomplish andfinish, the very same works that I am

now doing, are a witness andproof that the Father has sent Me.

Again in John 14:11, Believe Me that I am in the Father and

the Father in Me; or else believe Me for the sake of the [very]

works themselves. [If you cannot trust Me, at least let these

works that I do in My Fathers name convince you.]; those very

works which had been foretold in the Old Testament.

To state the obvious, the New Testament was not yet written

when Jesus resurrected three days after His death. When our

resurrected Lord Jesus expounded on all the scriptures the

things concerning and referring to Himself to the two discipleson the road to Emmaus, I believe He was in fact unveiling part

of the New Testament to them, that is, the four Gospels.

The first four Books of the New Testament reveal the

completion of the God-appointed tasks given to Jesus the Man

as concrete proof of His identity as the Promised Saviour.

The Promised Saviour Who is the only Beloved Son of theLiving God was sent to die on the Cross as Jesus the Man.

This is how God has chosen to show and prove His great and

    everlasting love for us all!

John 3:16, For God so greatly loved anddearly prized the

world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son,

so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him

shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal

    (everlasting) life.

    Note from Author

Anyone can interpret the scriptures in favour of an adoptedstand [2 Peter 3:16]. I find that the only constant in the Bible is

Gods love for me. I find the love of God is beyond any doubt

the crimson thread running through the Bible from cover to

cover. Therefore, I have chosen to read and interpret the Bible

in the greater context of His love for me.

God is love [1 John 4:8]. His Spirit is therefore love. To read

the Bible in the Spirit is to read it in His love for me.

This is my personal conviction. This is how I enjoy my Bible.

    This is my stand.

When the Lord returns, He will weigh my stand according to my

    heart [1 Samuel 16:7].

I am the beloved child of God that Jesus the Christ has mademe to be [2 Corinthians 5:21] in the process of getting to know

    Gods love for me.

If you have been blessed by this literature, let all the glory and

praise redound to our loving Father God. If there is anything

you find amiss, let God judge my heart.

If you would like to support the declaration of Gods great love, you can do soHERE.
