The Sankara Nethralaya Academy (TSNA)
TSNA is a unit of Medical Research Foundation established in the year 2010 with
the blessings of His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal of
Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam. This exemplary institute is founded by
Dr.S.S.Badrinath, Chairman-Emeritus & President, Medical Research
Foundation, with enduring dedication to offer a pursuit of excellence in education
and research. The members of the governing board provide constant support to
implement “Excellence through Knowledge”.
Overview of the Seminar
Health care has become one of India's fastest growing sectors in the past decade.
A multitude of private players have entered this market, combining to offer high-
quality health care and service in world-class hospitals and nursing homes all
over India. It has been recognised that a professional approach to hospital
administration and better resource allocation will go a long way to ensure both
quality and cost-effectiveness in health care in India.
This seminar consists of a well-planned collection of speakers on modern
hospital management. The seminar spans a wide range of horizons in hospital
administration, and provides all the necessary knowledge required.The Seminar
will also focus on successful healthcare strategies, proven patient-care
techniques, quality standardization tips, new hospital administration trends and
an overall road map to an effective healthcare system.
TSNA initiated Hospital Administration programme in the year 2011, affiliated to
The TN Dr.MGR Medical University. The students are trained through hands-on
learning in the areas of Hospital Administration and Management. As part of their
curriculum, the students are posted in multi-speciality and super-speciality
hospitals.In addition, students are encouraged to participate in Seminars,
workshops, Management Meet and Screening camps. Successful candidates are
placed in Sankara Nethralaya and various other multi-speciality healthcare setup.
