The Russells enjoyed one outing of golf while in Australia, at the North Ryde Golf Course, about 5 miles west of our Courtyard Hotel. The weather was cloudy and
spitting, but most of the time, it held up until we finished a fun round of golf.
The well decorated putting green near the
clubhouse.
The few other golfers we saw (not many) walked the course; it was a very nice day for a round of golf—cooler than normal.
The course was “semi-private,” but pretty well groomed. Nice fairways
and decent greens.
The course was challenging, but not too
difficult; the trees did manage to block a few
shots.
Most fairways had nice
paths and some were decorated
with flowers.
A couple of “wise quackers” came out to
greet us.

Greens were flanked by sand traps, well placed to suck up your shot.
Judy grimaces at Bob for shooting so
many photos.
A unique tree (sans bark) grabbed Bob’s attention; the close-up
above shows an insect enjoying the day.
Tiger Woods he ain’t, that’s for certain.
Some nice grasses were planted at
various parts of the course.
Pretty waxy flowers adorned a few plants.
Back at the clubhouse, Bob and Judy had a very nice lunch after a good
day on the links.
Gorgeous!
