The RHS Counseling Update A Publication for Juniors and Seniors Published by RHS Counseling Office Vol. 35, No. 6 GO RAMS! February 2019 After a long and cold January, we finally made it to February. February is a very busy month. Freshman, sophomores, and juniors will begin choosing their courses for next year very soon. We are fortunate to have a lot of course offerings at RHS. Please feel free to reach out to your counselors if you have any questions about courses. Our seniors will be preparing to make final college and career decisions as graduation draws near. Indeed, things are getting very busy. It is important that we all work together to stay on top of everything. SENIORS: The scholarship season is upon us. The Financial Aid Tab in Career Cruising will assist you with applying for scholarships. We strongly encourage students to apply for the local scholarships first. FAFSA verifications are being completed. Please log on to your FAFSA account to make sure your FAFSA has been processed. SCHOLARSHIPS: Please continue to research and apply for scholarships using the RHS Guidance Website and the Career Cruising Financial Aid Tab. Local scholarships will be available for your review March 1 st to March 29 th in the RHS Guidance Office. ALL dates can be found on the RHS Guidance Website Calendar located on the homepage. RCBC Spring Ahead Program 3/29/2019 Local Scholarships- March 1 st to March 29 SAT and ACT – Dates provided by going RHS Guidance website and click on calendar for various dates. SPRING AHEAD PROGRAM Friday, March 29, 2019. All seniors interested in attending RCBC will join us to travel to the Mount Laurel Campus to register for classes and tour the campus. Students will need to return a signed permission slip to Ms. DiLuzio before Friday, March 22, 2019. Permission slips can be found in the guidance department Seniors have received their scores from the Accuplacer. They are permitted to retest for the Accuplacer if they aren’t satisfied with scores by going to the testing center on the Mt. Laurel camps. Please bring the following: Spring Ahead Program Re-Test Assessment Form RHS Guidance website or see Ms. DiLuzio Photo ID Number 2 pencils STUDENTS MUST RETEST NO LATER THAN MARCH 15 TH FOR SCORES TO BE READY FOR THE SPRING AHEAD PROGRAM.
