She is a Stanford graduate in Human Biology, including a year of primatology and human evolution with Jane Goodall. This was a Stanford Alumni Travel Study trip with a communicable disease expert and primatology professor. The trip to Virunga volcanoes and Nyungwe National Parks allowed entry into the last remaining native forests, segments of which remain with pre-ice age diversity. At just 15 years of age he served during the War of 1812 as a private and drummer boy, later arriving in Provincetown in 1825 establishing himself as a sail-maker and was among the early entrepreneurs who, during the mid-19 th century, transformed Provincetown into a preeminent port. Timothy’s business interests included salt works, ships’ ballast and the ownership of Ocean Hall (later known as the Central House and now the Crown and Anchor), built for public entertainments.
