‒ Is the process of starting a business, a startup company or other organization.
The Entrepreneur:
‒ Is the person who:
1. develops a business plan
2. acquires the resources
3. manage the growth of the business.
‒ The entrepreneur is fully responsible for the success or failure of the business venture.

1. Business Entrepreneur:
‒ Has an idea for a new product or service
2. Trading Entrepreneur:
‒ Undertakes trading activities
3. Industrial Entrepreneur
‒ A manufacturer, who tailors a product or service to meet the marketing needs.
4. Social Entrepreneur:
‒ Is a person who considers a positive return to the society.
5. Research Entrepreneur:
‒ Is a researcher who converts the results of his/her research into a business venture.

They accepted the concept of realizing commercial value from academic research.
‒ Researches Products Spin-offs
Examples:
‒ The Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich) created 414 spin-off companies until the end of 2019.
‒ MIT Spinoffs 25,000+ Active Companies Founded by MIT Alumni and Faculty, 1865–Present
‒ Malaysian universities are expected to create 80 spin-off companies per year by 2020.

‒ IT Exports: 137 B$ in FY19 (26% of the national exports).
Sudan Exports in 2019 = 4.3 B$
