ABSTRACT
In this modern era the construction development has increased the demand for
the construction consultant especially the Quantity Surveyor Construction field requires
frequent communication among the parties involved in a particular project Employers
expect that QS from any universities are able to strive and perfonn well for the
organization Those who are capable in immersing themselves in QS profession will
have the better chances for employment and vice versa This capability refers to the
ability to manage well the work stress and eventually achieve the job satisfactio~
Hence this research is mainly to identify the relationship between work stress factors
and job satisfaction among QS at consultant finns in Kuching Sarawak 57 QS from 15
active consultant finns available in Kuching were the respondents for this research
Questionnaire was the main instrument used to get the primary data The data were
further analyzed by using SPSS 160 Version Statistical Package for Social Science
(SPSS) to seek for the relationship between the variables From the research it can be
concluded that gender has no implication on the QS job satisfaction Male or female QS
in Kuching are satisfied with the current career specifically at consultant finns In
addition this research found that group inter-relationship is the dominant factor that
influence QS job satisfaction The finding could helps consultant finns to take the
initiative to enhance relationship among employees as to boost their work perfonnance

Dalam era globalisasi ini sektor pembinaan sedang melalui pembangunan yang pesat
dan ini telah meningkatkan permintaan perkhidmatan daripada perunding-perunding
pembinaan terutamanya Jurukur Bahan Sektor pembinaan memerlukan komunikasi
yang efektif dan berkesan di kalangan perunding-perunding dan kontraktor Klien
mengharapkan Jurukur Bahan mempunyai daya saing yang kuat bagi menjayakan
projek-projek yang diberikan lurukur Bahan yang mampu menyahut cabaran dalam
kerjaya ini bakal mempunyai peluang pekerjaan yang lebih tinggi berbanding yang lain
Cabaran-cabaran yang dimaksudkan adalah kebolehan untuk menguruskan tekanan kerja
dengan berkesan dan mencapai tahap kepuashatian kerja yang tinggi 57 orang Jurukur
Bahan daripada 15 buah perunding-perunding Jurukur Bahan yang aktif di Kuching
adalah responde dalam kajian ini Soal selidik merupakan instrumen tunggal yang
digunakan di dalam kajian ini Data-data daripada soal selidik dianalisa bagi
mendapatkan informasi tersirat dan hubungan di antara pembolehubah dengan
menggunakan SPSS 160 Version Statistical Package Jor Social Science (SPSS)
Kajian ini menunjukkan jantina tidak memberi sebarang implikasi terhadap tahap
kepuashatian kerja Selain itu interaksi di dalam kumpulan merupakan faktor dominan
yang boleh mengugat kepuashatian kerja di antara Jurukur Bahan Hasil kajian ini boleh
membantu perunding-perunding pembinaan untuk memperbanyakkan aktiviti-aktiviti
berkumpulan bagi meningkatkan tahap kepuashatian kerja Jurukur Bahan

ABSTRACT
In this modern era the construction development has increased the demand for
the construction consultant especially the Quantity Surveyor Construction field requires
frequent communication among the parties involved in a particular project Employers
expect that QS from any universities are able to strive and perfonn well for the
organization Those who are capable in immersing themselves in QS profession will
have the better chances for employment and vice versa This capability refers to the
ability to manage well the work stress and eventually achieve the job satisfactio~
Hence this research is mainly to identify the relationship between work stress factors
and job satisfaction among QS at consultant finns in Kuching Sarawak 57 QS from 15
active consultant finns available in Kuching were the respondents for this research
Questionnaire was the main instrument used to get the primary data The data were
further analyzed by using SPSS 160 Version Statistical Package for Social Science
(SPSS) to seek for the relationship between the variables From the research it can be
concluded that gender has no implication on the QS job satisfaction Male or female QS
in Kuching are satisfied with the current career specifically at consultant finns In
addition this research found that group inter-relationship is the dominant factor that
influence QS job satisfaction The finding could helps consultant finns to take the
initiative to enhance relationship among employees as to boost their work perfonnance

Dalam era globalisasi ini sektor pembinaan sedang melalui pembangunan yang pesat
dan ini telah meningkatkan permintaan perkhidmatan daripada perunding-perunding
pembinaan terutamanya Jurukur Bahan Sektor pembinaan memerlukan komunikasi
yang efektif dan berkesan di kalangan perunding-perunding dan kontraktor Klien
mengharapkan Jurukur Bahan mempunyai daya saing yang kuat bagi menjayakan
projek-projek yang diberikan lurukur Bahan yang mampu menyahut cabaran dalam
kerjaya ini bakal mempunyai peluang pekerjaan yang lebih tinggi berbanding yang lain
Cabaran-cabaran yang dimaksudkan adalah kebolehan untuk menguruskan tekanan kerja
dengan berkesan dan mencapai tahap kepuashatian kerja yang tinggi 57 orang Jurukur
Bahan daripada 15 buah perunding-perunding Jurukur Bahan yang aktif di Kuching
adalah responde dalam kajian ini Soal selidik merupakan instrumen tunggal yang
digunakan di dalam kajian ini Data-data daripada soal selidik dianalisa bagi
mendapatkan informasi tersirat dan hubungan di antara pembolehubah dengan
menggunakan SPSS 160 Version Statistical Package Jor Social Science (SPSS)
Kajian ini menunjukkan jantina tidak memberi sebarang implikasi terhadap tahap
kepuashatian kerja Selain itu interaksi di dalam kumpulan merupakan faktor dominan
yang boleh mengugat kepuashatian kerja di antara Jurukur Bahan Hasil kajian ini boleh
membantu perunding-perunding pembinaan untuk memperbanyakkan aktiviti-aktiviti
berkumpulan bagi meningkatkan tahap kepuashatian kerja Jurukur Bahan

ABSTRACT
In this modern era the construction development has increased the demand for
the construction consultant especially the Quantity Surveyor Construction field requires
frequent communication among the parties involved in a particular project Employers
expect that QS from any universities are able to strive and perfonn well for the
organization Those who are capable in immersing themselves in QS profession will
have the better chances for employment and vice versa This capability refers to the
ability to manage well the work stress and eventually achieve the job satisfactio~
Hence this research is mainly to identify the relationship between work stress factors
and job satisfaction among QS at consultant finns in Kuching Sarawak 57 QS from 15
active consultant finns available in Kuching were the respondents for this research
Questionnaire was the main instrument used to get the primary data The data were
further analyzed by using SPSS 160 Version Statistical Package for Social Science
(SPSS) to seek for the relationship between the variables From the research it can be
concluded that gender has no implication on the QS job satisfaction Male or female QS
in Kuching are satisfied with the current career specifically at consultant finns In
addition this research found that group inter-relationship is the dominant factor that
influence QS job satisfaction The finding could helps consultant finns to take the
initiative to enhance relationship among employees as to boost their work perfonnance

Dalam era globalisasi ini sektor pembinaan sedang melalui pembangunan yang pesat
dan ini telah meningkatkan permintaan perkhidmatan daripada perunding-perunding
pembinaan terutamanya Jurukur Bahan Sektor pembinaan memerlukan komunikasi
yang efektif dan berkesan di kalangan perunding-perunding dan kontraktor Klien
mengharapkan Jurukur Bahan mempunyai daya saing yang kuat bagi menjayakan
projek-projek yang diberikan lurukur Bahan yang mampu menyahut cabaran dalam
kerjaya ini bakal mempunyai peluang pekerjaan yang lebih tinggi berbanding yang lain
Cabaran-cabaran yang dimaksudkan adalah kebolehan untuk menguruskan tekanan kerja
dengan berkesan dan mencapai tahap kepuashatian kerja yang tinggi 57 orang Jurukur
Bahan daripada 15 buah perunding-perunding Jurukur Bahan yang aktif di Kuching
adalah responde dalam kajian ini Soal selidik merupakan instrumen tunggal yang
digunakan di dalam kajian ini Data-data daripada soal selidik dianalisa bagi
mendapatkan informasi tersirat dan hubungan di antara pembolehubah dengan
menggunakan SPSS 160 Version Statistical Package Jor Social Science (SPSS)
Kajian ini menunjukkan jantina tidak memberi sebarang implikasi terhadap tahap
kepuashatian kerja Selain itu interaksi di dalam kumpulan merupakan faktor dominan
yang boleh mengugat kepuashatian kerja di antara Jurukur Bahan Hasil kajian ini boleh
membantu perunding-perunding pembinaan untuk memperbanyakkan aktiviti-aktiviti
berkumpulan bagi meningkatkan tahap kepuashatian kerja Jurukur Bahan

ABSTRACT
In this modern era the construction development has increased the demand for
the construction consultant especially the Quantity Surveyor Construction field requires
frequent communication among the parties involved in a particular project Employers
expect that QS from any universities are able to strive and perfonn well for the
organization Those who are capable in immersing themselves in QS profession will
have the better chances for employment and vice versa This capability refers to the
ability to manage well the work stress and eventually achieve the job satisfactio~
Hence this research is mainly to identify the relationship between work stress factors
and job satisfaction among QS at consultant finns in Kuching Sarawak 57 QS from 15
active consultant finns available in Kuching were the respondents for this research
Questionnaire was the main instrument used to get the primary data The data were
further analyzed by using SPSS 160 Version Statistical Package for Social Science
(SPSS) to seek for the relationship between the variables From the research it can be
concluded that gender has no implication on the QS job satisfaction Male or female QS
in Kuching are satisfied with the current career specifically at consultant finns In
addition this research found that group inter-relationship is the dominant factor that
influence QS job satisfaction The finding could helps consultant finns to take the
initiative to enhance relationship among employees as to boost their work perfonnance

Dalam era globalisasi ini sektor pembinaan sedang melalui pembangunan yang pesat
dan ini telah meningkatkan permintaan perkhidmatan daripada perunding-perunding
pembinaan terutamanya Jurukur Bahan Sektor pembinaan memerlukan komunikasi
yang efektif dan berkesan di kalangan perunding-perunding dan kontraktor Klien
mengharapkan Jurukur Bahan mempunyai daya saing yang kuat bagi menjayakan
projek-projek yang diberikan lurukur Bahan yang mampu menyahut cabaran dalam
kerjaya ini bakal mempunyai peluang pekerjaan yang lebih tinggi berbanding yang lain
Cabaran-cabaran yang dimaksudkan adalah kebolehan untuk menguruskan tekanan kerja
dengan berkesan dan mencapai tahap kepuashatian kerja yang tinggi 57 orang Jurukur
Bahan daripada 15 buah perunding-perunding Jurukur Bahan yang aktif di Kuching
adalah responde dalam kajian ini Soal selidik merupakan instrumen tunggal yang
digunakan di dalam kajian ini Data-data daripada soal selidik dianalisa bagi
mendapatkan informasi tersirat dan hubungan di antara pembolehubah dengan
menggunakan SPSS 160 Version Statistical Package Jor Social Science (SPSS)
Kajian ini menunjukkan jantina tidak memberi sebarang implikasi terhadap tahap
kepuashatian kerja Selain itu interaksi di dalam kumpulan merupakan faktor dominan
yang boleh mengugat kepuashatian kerja di antara Jurukur Bahan Hasil kajian ini boleh
membantu perunding-perunding pembinaan untuk memperbanyakkan aktiviti-aktiviti
berkumpulan bagi meningkatkan tahap kepuashatian kerja Jurukur Bahan

mendapatkan informasi tersirat dan hubungan di antara pembolehubah dengan
menggunakan SPSS 160 Version Statistical Package Jor Social Science (SPSS)
Kajian ini menunjukkan jantina tidak memberi sebarang implikasi terhadap tahap
kepuashatian kerja Selain itu interaksi di dalam kumpulan merupakan faktor dominan
yang boleh mengugat kepuashatian kerja di antara Jurukur Bahan Hasil kajian ini boleh
membantu perunding-perunding pembinaan untuk memperbanyakkan aktiviti-aktiviti
berkumpulan bagi meningkatkan tahap kepuashatian kerja Jurukur Bahan

ABSTRACT
In this modern era the construction development has increased the demand for
the construction consultant especially the Quantity Surveyor Construction field requires
frequent communication among the parties involved in a particular project Employers
expect that QS from any universities are able to strive and perfonn well for the
organization Those who are capable in immersing themselves in QS profession will
have the better chances for employment and vice versa This capability refers to the
ability to manage well the work stress and eventually achieve the job satisfactio~
Hence this research is mainly to identify the relationship between work stress factors
and job satisfaction among QS at consultant finns in Kuching Sarawak 57 QS from 15
active consultant finns available in Kuching were the respondents for this research
Questionnaire was the main instrument used to get the primary data The data were
further analyzed by using SPSS 160 Version Statistical Package for Social Science
(SPSS) to seek for the relationship between the variables From the research it can be
concluded that gender has no implication on the QS job satisfaction Male or female QS
in Kuching are satisfied with the current career specifically at consultant finns In
addition this research found that group inter-relationship is the dominant factor that
influence QS job satisfaction The finding could helps consultant finns to take the
initiative to enhance relationship among employees as to boost their work perfonnance

Dalam era globalisasi ini sektor pembinaan sedang melalui pembangunan yang pesat
dan ini telah meningkatkan permintaan perkhidmatan daripada perunding-perunding
pembinaan terutamanya Jurukur Bahan Sektor pembinaan memerlukan komunikasi
yang efektif dan berkesan di kalangan perunding-perunding dan kontraktor Klien
mengharapkan Jurukur Bahan mempunyai daya saing yang kuat bagi menjayakan
projek-projek yang diberikan lurukur Bahan yang mampu menyahut cabaran dalam
kerjaya ini bakal mempunyai peluang pekerjaan yang lebih tinggi berbanding yang lain
Cabaran-cabaran yang dimaksudkan adalah kebolehan untuk menguruskan tekanan kerja
dengan berkesan dan mencapai tahap kepuashatian kerja yang tinggi 57 orang Jurukur

ABSTRACT
In this modern era the construction development has increased the demand for
the construction consultant especially the Quantity Surveyor Construction field requires
frequent communication among the parties involved in a particular project Employers
expect that QS from any universities are able to strive and perfonn well for the
organization Those who are capable in immersing themselves in QS profession will
have the better chances for employment and vice versa This capability refers to the
ability to manage well the work stress and eventually achieve the job satisfactio~
Hence this research is mainly to identify the relationship between work stress factors
and job satisfaction among QS at consultant finns in Kuching Sarawak 57 QS from 15
active consultant finns available in Kuching were the respondents for this research
Questionnaire was the main instrument used to get the primary data The data were
further analyzed by using SPSS 160 Version Statistical Package for Social Science
(SPSS) to seek for the relationship between the variables From the research it can be
concluded that gender has no implication on the QS job satisfaction Male or female QS
in Kuching are satisfied with the current career specifically at consultant finns In
addition this research found that group inter-relationship is the dominant factor that
influence QS job satisfaction The finding could helps consultant finns to take the
initiative to enhance relationship among employees as to boost their work perfonnance

Dalam era globalisasi ini sektor pembinaan sedang melalui pembangunan yang pesat
dan ini telah meningkatkan permintaan perkhidmatan daripada perunding-perunding
pembinaan terutamanya Jurukur Bahan Sektor pembinaan memerlukan komunikasi
yang efektif dan berkesan di kalangan perunding-perunding dan kontraktor Klien
mengharapkan Jurukur Bahan mempunyai daya saing yang kuat bagi menjayakan
projek-projek yang diberikan lurukur Bahan yang mampu menyahut cabaran dalam
kerjaya ini bakal mempunyai peluang pekerjaan yang lebih tinggi berbanding yang lain
Cabaran-cabaran yang dimaksudkan adalah kebolehan untuk menguruskan tekanan kerja
dengan berkesan dan mencapai tahap kepuashatian kerja yang tinggi 57 orang Jurukur
Bahan daripada 15 buah perunding-perunding Jurukur Bahan yang aktif di Kuching
adalah responde dalam kajian ini Soal selidik merupakan instrumen tunggal yang
digunakan di dalam kajian ini Data-data daripada soal selidik dianalisa bagi
mendapatkan informasi tersirat dan hubungan di antara pembolehubah dengan
menggunakan SPSS 160 Version Statistical Package Jor Social Science (SPSS)
Kajian ini menunjukkan jantina tidak memberi sebarang implikasi terhadap tahap
kepuashatian kerja Selain itu interaksi di dalam kumpulan merupakan faktor dominan
yang boleh mengugat kepuashatian kerja di antara Jurukur Bahan Hasil kajian ini boleh
membantu perunding-perunding pembinaan untuk memperbanyakkan aktiviti-aktiviti
berkumpulan bagi meningkatkan tahap kepuashatian kerja Jurukur Bahan

ABSTRACT
In this modern era the construction development has increased the demand for
the construction consultant especially the Quantity Surveyor Construction field requires
frequent communication among the parties involved in a particular project Employers
expect that QS from any universities are able to strive and perfonn well for the
organization Those who are capable in immersing themselves in QS profession will
have the better chances for employment and vice versa This capability refers to the
ability to manage well the work stress and eventually achieve the job satisfactio~
Hence this research is mainly to identify the relationship between work stress factors
and job satisfaction among QS at consultant finns in Kuching Sarawak 57 QS from 15
active consultant finns available in Kuching were the respondents for this research
Questionnaire was the main instrument used to get the primary data The data were
further analyzed by using SPSS 160 Version Statistical Package for Social Science
(SPSS) to seek for the relationship between the variables From the research it can be
concluded that gender has no implication on the QS job satisfaction Male or female QS
in Kuching are satisfied with the current career specifically at consultant finns In
addition this research found that group inter-relationship is the dominant factor that
influence QS job satisfaction The finding could helps consultant finns to take the
initiative to enhance relationship among employees as to boost their work perfonnance

Dalam era globalisasi ini sektor pembinaan sedang melalui pembangunan yang pesat
dan ini telah meningkatkan permintaan perkhidmatan daripada perunding-perunding
pembinaan terutamanya Jurukur Bahan Sektor pembinaan memerlukan komunikasi
yang efektif dan berkesan di kalangan perunding-perunding dan kontraktor Klien
mengharapkan Jurukur Bahan mempunyai daya saing yang kuat bagi menjayakan
projek-projek yang diberikan lurukur Bahan yang mampu menyahut cabaran dalam
kerjaya ini bakal mempunyai peluang pekerjaan yang lebih tinggi berbanding yang lain
Cabaran-cabaran yang dimaksudkan adalah kebolehan untuk menguruskan tekanan kerja
dengan berkesan dan mencapai tahap kepuashatian kerja yang tinggi 57 orang Jurukur
Bahan daripada 15 buah perunding-perunding Jurukur Bahan yang aktif di Kuching
adalah responde dalam kajian ini Soal selidik merupakan instrumen tunggal yang
digunakan di dalam kajian ini Data-data daripada soal selidik dianalisa bagi
mendapatkan informasi tersirat dan hubungan di antara pembolehubah dengan
menggunakan SPSS 160 Version Statistical Package Jor Social Science (SPSS)
Kajian ini menunjukkan jantina tidak memberi sebarang implikasi terhadap tahap
kepuashatian kerja Selain itu interaksi di dalam kumpulan merupakan faktor dominan
yang boleh mengugat kepuashatian kerja di antara Jurukur Bahan Hasil kajian ini boleh
membantu perunding-perunding pembinaan untuk memperbanyakkan aktiviti-aktiviti

Bahan daripada 15 buah perunding-perunding Jurukur Bahan yang aktif di Kuching
adalah responde dalam kajian ini Soal selidik merupakan instrumen tunggal yang
digunakan di dalam kajian ini Data-data daripada soal selidik dianalisa bagi
mendapatkan informasi tersirat dan hubungan di antara pembolehubah dengan
menggunakan SPSS 160 Version Statistical Package Jor Social Science (SPSS)
Kajian ini menunjukkan jantina tidak memberi sebarang implikasi terhadap tahap
kepuashatian kerja Selain itu interaksi di dalam kumpulan merupakan faktor dominan
yang boleh mengugat kepuashatian kerja di antara Jurukur Bahan Hasil kajian ini boleh
membantu perunding-perunding pembinaan untuk memperbanyakkan aktiviti-aktiviti

ABSTRACT
In this modern era the construction development has increased the demand for
the construction consultant especially the Quantity Surveyor Construction field requires
frequent communication among the parties involved in a particular project Employers
expect that QS from any universities are able to strive and perfonn well for the
organization Those who are capable in immersing themselves in QS profession will
have the better chances for employment and vice versa This capability refers to the
ability to manage well the work stress and eventually achieve the job satisfactio~
Hence this research is mainly to identify the relationship between work stress factors
and job satisfaction among QS at consultant finns in Kuching Sarawak 57 QS from 15
active consultant finns available in Kuching were the respondents for this research
Questionnaire was the main instrument used to get the primary data The data were
further analyzed by using SPSS 160 Version Statistical Package for Social Science
(SPSS) to seek for the relationship between the variables From the research it can be
concluded that gender has no implication on the QS job satisfaction Male or female QS
in Kuching are satisfied with the current career specifically at consultant finns In
addition this research found that group inter-relationship is the dominant factor that
influence QS job satisfaction The finding could helps consultant finns to take the
initiative to enhance relationship among employees as to boost their work perfonnance

In this modern era the construction development has increased the demand for
the construction consultant especially the Quantity Surveyor Construction field requires
frequent communication among the parties involved in a particular project Employers
expect that QS from any universities are able to strive and perfonn well for the
organization Those who are capable in immersing themselves in QS profession will
have the better chances for employment and vice versa This capability refers to the
ability to manage well the work stress and eventually achieve the job satisfactio~
Hence this research is mainly to identify the relationship between work stress factors
and job satisfaction among QS at consultant finns in Kuching Sarawak 57 QS from 15
active consultant finns available in Kuching were the respondents for this research

Kajian ini menunjukkan jantina tidak memberi sebarang implikasi terhadap tahap
kepuashatian kerja Selain itu interaksi di dalam kumpulan merupakan faktor dominan
yang boleh mengugat kepuashatian kerja di antara Jurukur Bahan Hasil kajian ini boleh
membantu perunding-perunding pembinaan untuk memperbanyakkan aktiviti-aktiviti
berkumpulan bagi meningkatkan tahap kepuashatian kerja Jurukur Bahan
