RefugeShelter; Sanctuary; Retreat
A place to find peace, calm, and quiet. This refuge just happens
to be situated among some of the most wild and pristine
lands anywhere, and at the back door of two stunning national
parks, including the worlds first, Yellowstone.
Whether getting away from the chaos of the big city, the stress of work, or sharing the majesty
of this land with your clients and cohorts, The Refuge at
Aline represents an exceptional opportunity to find your inner calm or the wilderness within.
The Refuge is a private community within the Alpine Airpark,
a beautiful and user friendly airport with inexpensive fuel and
no landing fees. As a pilot or plane owner, you’ll appreciate
that the sole runway, situated at 5,664’ is 6,000’ long. By
comparison, our closest commercial airport, the Jackson
Hole Airport, is only 6,200’ long. The runway at Alpine Airpark
is positioned at a convenient east-west orientation, ideal
for the prevailing winds, and the approach and departure is
generally across a flat, wide-open dry BLM land.
Thoughtful landscaping throughout The Refuge includes fish
ponds and an abundance of native flora. An entire tree farm
was purchased to aid in the landscape design. In the summer
months, a bike pathway will connect The Refuge from north
to south and extend beyond the airpark; in winter months,
you can snowmobile or Nordic ski out your front door on
the groomed cross-country trails.
The Refuge
The majestic Teton Mountain Range gives way to the Wyoming
Range, the Snake River Range, The Greys River Range, The
Caribou Range, and the Salt River Range. All beautiful and
grand in their own ways. The rivers that carve through
their veins are equally scenic and rich with recreational
opportunities. This corner of the Rocky Mountains yields a
wealth of pristine, wild scenery, and recreational opportunities
in what also happens to be the #1 tax friendly state in the
entire United States.
Location
Nestled among rugged mountains and the Palisades
Reservoir, this private fly-in, fly-out community is extremely
unique – likely the most scenic airport-based community in
the world. From the 65 acres available at an average of 2+
acres per lot, these home and hangar locations make a great
base camp for your Alpine adventures. Your garage is your
hanger, and out your front door is world class skiing (snow
and water), hiking, golfing, fly fishing, hunting, backcountry
flying, gliding, snowmobiling, climbing, and so much more.
You can fly clients, cohorts, and industry experts into your
Refuge for a week of luxury and world-class recreation.
This fly-in community offers the greatest
breadth and depth of opportunities for
the true sportsman.
The nearby Jackson Hole Mountain
Resort was rated the #1 ski resort
in America in 2013 ( Ski Magazine).
SnowWest has consistently rated
Alpine, Wyoming, as one of the top
10 snowmobile destinations, with an
incredible amount of terrain and trails
thanks to the opportunities afforded
by the surrounding BLM and national
forest lands.
There are 3 majestic Blue Ribbon
Rivers that flow nearby and white
water adventures on the Snake River
flow into Palisades Lake, which is open
to power boating and jet skis. Access
to the world’s top National Parks is
just around the corner as well.
