ASHE February 3rd DinnerPresented by: Dave Hoglund, PE, RETTEW Associates Topic: Reconstruction of the Siegrist Covered Bridge
RSVP by January 30, 2014
Well the Holiday Season has come and gone! 2014 has begun and many new exciting things are taking place.
For those of you that missed our January lunch meeting, we welcomed Secretary of Transportation Barry Schoch to our monthly gathering. Sec. Schoch gave us a very interesting presentation on what is taking place since the transportation funding bill has passed. He provided us with information on all levels of planning that is currently taking place for upcoming projects and where we are at now! We appreciate him taking time out of his busy schedule to come spend some time with us! Our Charity for last month’s meeting was Success with Honor (SWH) and I’m happy to report that we donated $403. I also wanted to thank Larry Bankert, who is the secretary of this charity for taking the time for providing us all with specifics of SWH mission.
Our next program is a dinner meeting on February 3rd where Mr. Dave Hoglund, PE from Rettew Associates will be joining us to present on the Reconstruction of the Siegrist Covered Bridge. We hope to see you there!
National Engineers week begins February 16th and ends on February 22nd. The 2014 National Engineers week celebration Banquet is Thursday, February 20, 2014 (beginning at 5:30 pm) and will be held at the West Shore Country Club. Please look for additional registration information in the profile.
April 4th we will hold our Annual ASHE Harrisburg Section/PennDOT District 8-0 /PTC Conference. Please look for registration information in the near future.
Another important date I’d like to share is the Annual Past Presidents Banquet. The banquet will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at the Penn National/Hollywood Casino. This event will be a celebration/social evening like last year. Please plan to attend. It was a very nice evening last year.
If anyone would like to contact me throughout the year, please feel free to call me (717.620.8488 ext. 106 or 717.877.6271) or email me ([email protected]).
Have a great month!
