WELCOME PAGE

Dear Parents,

What a very busy week we've had in the primary department!

Lots of the students have explored outdoor learning opportunities through exciting educational visits and students and parents alike, have enjoyed the special performance of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, followed by Book Character Dress-up Day.

I am sure they will all be in need of a good rest this weekend.

"Bibbiti Bobbiti Boo

A fabulous weekend to you!"

Best wishes from

The Fairy Godmother! (otherwise known as Miss. Sue)

PRE-K

This week was a very busy week for pre-K. Our production ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears’ finally took to the stage! We had worked very hard in rehearsals. We all joined in our songs. We did the actions and said our lines out loud. We looked fabulous in our costumes. The Joeys were baby bears friends, the Gummy Bears and the Cubs were flowers and bees. We all had great fun and really enjoyed participating in the show. We are looking forward to next year’s production already!

This week marks the end of our time with Mrs. Raffiah (TA Cubs). We would like to thank her for her hard work and kindness since September. We wish her the very best of luck with her pregnancy and every best wish for the future. We know she will come back to visit often!

KG1

Pre-K and KG1 have been very busy over the last few weeks preparing for ‘Goldilocks and The Three Bears.’ During the final week of rehearsals the children got to see their costumes and enjoyed trying them on. Mama Bear and Papa Bear also made an appearance in their costumes which made the children laugh. It has been an eventful few weeks but everything came together in the end. A big thank you to all the parents involved and most of all to the children who made the show a success! Here are a few pictures of rehearsals:

KG2

KG2 had a great day yesterday at Kidzania exploring all their future careers! We have budding firemen, race car drivers, pilots, doctors, radio presenters, jewellery designers and artists on our hands.

Many thanks to all the parents who came and supported us on this day. It was one to remember.

GRADE 1

This week grade one had an exciting entry point for our new topic ‘Our World’. The children had to find clues about out what the new topic is. The clues spelt out “Our new IPC topic is Our World”. The children were given photographs of various parts of the school. When they located the specific area there was a letter at this location. This letter was a small piece of the puzzle. The teaching assistants did a fantastic job at placing the clues all around the school and once the children received each new photograph they ran to the location determined to be the first to crack the code. By the end many children were very excited (and tired after all of their running) to crack the code and discover our new topic.

Buckle Up in The Back Dubai.

On Sunday Lesley Cully came from Buckle Up in the back Dubai.

She gave our students a very clear message about wearing seat belts in the back of cars at all times.

Many students seemed to think it was OK not to wear their seat belt while driving around the corner but as Lesley showed us most accidents happen in cars while driving around the corner. Lesley showed them the egg box cars and how wearing a seat belt keeps you safe.

Current research says that more children die in car accidents than any other way here in Dubai and the UAE.

Did you know that in many cars the air bags will not activate unless your seat belt is connected?

It is against the law for children under the age of 10 to sit in the front seat of a car in Dubai!

Our Primary students watched Mr Godel and Mr Nolan demonstrate the convincer and Roll Over Car. It was very scary for them but they both told the students how much safer they felt with their seat belts on!

Please do not hesitate to contact us in the clinic if you need more information.

Thanks
