GOD OF The
POOR
“If there is a poor man among you… you shall not harden your heart, nor close your hand to your poor brother…” (Deut. 15:7)“Is this not the fast which I’ve chosen… to let the oppressed go free…share your bread with the hungry… bring the homeless poor into the house; cover the naked … do not hide yourself from your own flesh?” (Ish 58:6,7)

“… The LORD will maintain the cause of the
oppressed, and justice for the poor.” (Psm. 140:12)
“For You have been a defense for the helpless,
a defense for the needy…” (Ish 25:4)

POORHe who is gracious to a poor man lends to the LORD, and He Will repay him for his good deed. (Pro 19:17)
He who oppresses the poor Reproaches his Maker, but he who is gracious to the needy honors Him. (Pro: 14:31)
“ …for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’” (Mat: 25:35-36)
TO ADVOCATE“Open Your mouth for the dumb, for the rights of all the unfortunate. Open your mouth, judge righteously, and defend the rights of the oppressed and needy.” (Prov. 31:8)
TO CRY FOR JUSTICE
“Do justice and righteousness, and deliver the one who has been robbed from the power of his oppressor. Also do not mistreat…the orphan, or the widow...” (Jer 22:3)
TO GIVE“If there is a poor man among you… you shall not harden your heart, nor close your hand to your poor brother…” (Deut. 15:7)“Sell Your possessions and GIVE TO CHARITY…” (Luk 12:33)
