We are mates and we are mating to

create tadpoles.

I’m growing inside my egg. In 10 days, I’ll

be almost ready to hatch out.

FIRST the frog lays its eggs.

Once I am out of my

egg, I swim up to the surface of the pond

where there’s a lot

of food.

NEXT the tadpoles come out of the eggs.

When I’m six weeks, my back

legs start to grow.

THEN each tadpole grows two back legs.

My front legs grow. Now I’m a froglet!

AFTER this it grows two front legs.

My tail gets

shorter and when I

am 13 weeks, my

tail is almost gone.

Its tail gets shorter.

After three months I breathe through

my lungs. I’m ready to live on land. I’m a frog!

and the cycle starts again

When it becomes a frog it comes out from the water.
