As you leave the village of Ervadosa do Douro behind, you’ll walk along unpaved tracks through the countryside, past olive trees and farmhouses before a gentle climb through the vineyards surrounding Quinta da Gricha. Enjoy marvellous views across the terraced hills as you wend your way down to the River Douro.

Stop at Quinta das Tecedeiras to relax and tuck into a delicious picnic lunch with wine and magnificent views across the vineyards and river.

After lunch, a traditional wooden rabelo boat will ferry you across the Douro River to the village of Pinhão. End the day with a winery tour and gaze back across the river to relive your morning walk as you taste their wines.
