The Phonics Pupil Books teach the skills needed for reading and writing. With Phonics Pupil Book 2, children can build upon the reading and writing skills that they learnt with Phonics Pupil Book 1. Engaging activities help to develop the children’s letter-sound knowledge and a number of alternative letter-sound spellings are introduced. More tricky words are taught and basic sentence structure is introduced in the form of guided writing exercises. The Phonics Pupil Books are designed specifi cally for use with the Phonics Teacher’s Book. The following products can also be used to support the phonics teaching: Phonics for the Whiteboard, Jolly Phonics Cards, Jolly Phonics Readers, Phonics Games CD, Finger Phonics Books, Tricky Word Wall Flowers and many more. This material is recommended by Cambridge International Examinations to support the Cambridge Primary English Stage 1 syllabus.
