TerraAnchor™ is driven and stressed earth anchor system used as soil reinforcement for slope stabilization and active protection measures with high tensile netting. TerraAnchor™ is used for temporary and permanent applications (more than 70 years design life) by enhancing the durability protection of the components of the system. TerraAnchor™ is best suited for strengthening of collapsible and uncompacted/ unconsolidated soils.

TerraLink™ is a logical, complementary technique. In perpetuating its legacy for breaking new ground, Terre Armée India has developed the TerraLink™ technology, which allows for the construction of new Reinforced Earth® structure connected to existing stabilized slopes through by way of TerraNail® or TerraAnchor™.

The Reinforced Earth® and TerraLink™ technologies can be combined to ensure a continuous facing and sound structural behavior.

T hroughout history, nature’s forces have proven to be overwhelmingly dangerous, causing mammoth destruction. Particularly in hilly terrain, the possibility of such natural disaster is very high in terms of landslide, unstable slopes, rockfall and debris flow.

Terre Armée India, drawing on global expertise, fulfills the demanding requirements of slope engineering and geo-hazard solutions.

Terre Armée in India offers bespoke TerraSlope® technique to build steepend slopes for slope engineering, slope management and geo-hazard solutions.

‘Ready to Install’ GeoTrel® and TerraTrel®GeoTrel® and TerraTrel® are Reinforced Earth® steepened slopes or walls based on the project specific requirements. GeoTrel® and TerraTrel® are used for building retaining structures on valley sides and protection structures on the hill side.

These are internally stabilized earth structure, constructed with alternate layers of granular backfill and metallic / non-metallic soil reinforcing strips. These strips are mechanically connected with a prefabricated facing, to ensure effective transfer of load. Galvanized welded steel mesh is used as facing for permanent GeoTrel® or TerraTrel® structures. The flexibility and high load bearing capacity of GeoTrel® and TerraTrel® makes them very suitable for the construction of tall structures in high seismic prone zones. Mechanically connected facings act as an active system with predictable performance during the service life of the structure.

These structures can be either at an inclination of 70° or less (steepened slope) or it can be at an inclination of more than 70° (wall). Vegetation is grown on the face of steepened slope, and boulder is used behind the facing mesh of walls to provide a ‘mineral’ finish. In GeoTrel® system, both smooth and High Adherence GeoStrap® is used as soil reinforcement, and in TerraTrel® system the soil reinforcement is High Adherence® and High Adherence Reinforced® galvanized steel strips. High Adherence® systems improve soil reinforcement interactions, offering enhanced pull out and direct shear properties, especially in high seismic zones and structures subject to other dynamic loads.

TerraNail® is an in-situ method of reinforcing the existing soil/rock mass by installing solid or hollow fully threaded hot-dip galvanized high tensile geotechnical steel bars encased in grout. TerraNail® is typically used to stabilize existing slopes or excavations as construction proceeds from top-down (preferred construction) or sometimes bottom-up. The length and diameter of the TerraNail® are determined through global stability analysis of the unstable slope.
