ADDRESS SERVICE REQUESTED
NOTICE OF SPECIAL ELECTION
Due to the resignation of Brother Sir Knight Robert Watson, PFN, FDD, PGK as Faithful Navigator for the Fraternal Year, 2016-17 and pursuant to Article 2, Section 17.0 of the current St. John Neumann Assembly #933 BY-LAWS a SPECIAL ELECTION will be held to fill the vacant position of Faithful Captain during the Conclave Meeting convening at 8:00 PM on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at the home of Regina Mundi Council #4052 located on the grounds of Assumption BVM Church, Bristol and Meadowbrook Rd, Feasterville, PA 19053.
My Brother Sir Knights, My name is Michael Arment and I am the Faithful Navigator of our Assembly. Our Past Faithful Navigator Robert Watson had to step down from the position in order to care for his wife. Please keep Lady Carol and SK Robert in your prayers. I understand the tremendous responsibility as your Faithful Navigator and ask for your prayers so that I can bring the same honor to the position as my predecessors. Please continue to pray for those who serve our country in the armed services. They sacrifice so much so that we can continue to enjoy the blessing of freedom we enjoy. Also pray that our politicians open their hearts to God and end the evil of abortion in this country. Vivat Jesus! God bless you, Brother Michael

FAITHFUL FRIAR’S MESSAGE
Our founder, the Venerable Reverend Michael J. McGivney, established the familiar pillars of the Knights of Columbus, that is, Charity, Fraternity, Patriotism, and Unity. Our fraternal organization’s pillar of Unity is as essential to the good of our Or-der, as it is to the good of the Church. While divi-sions are inevitable, Unity remains an essential pil-lar of an enduring organization. While I am not commenting on the personal characteristics of our President-elect, we all know some comments during his campaign and several protests since his election have served to stir fears and increased division among our fellow United States citizens. A frustrat-ed parishioner asked me a basic question a few days after the election, that is, “What should we do?” I understood why she asked the question, because of Mr. Trump’s comments about immigrants, minori-ties and women. I thought a bit, then I responded and said “We have to pray because there are com-plex issues, and to pray that he chooses wise advi-sors, and that he listens to them.” While I am elated that our President-elect upholds the right to life for the pre-born, which is consistent with St. John Paul II’s affirmation that “life” is the first right upon which all others are built, I am a bit concerned that some other comments do not illustrate a true re-spect for people of all ages and in all situations. Brothers all, as Knights of Columbus, we stand in unity as citizens of the United States, and embrace patriotism. As all voters had exercised their civic duty on November 8, I wonder what responsibility each of us has as our country anticipates Mr. Trump’s inauguration on January 20?
We know ourselves as brothers, disciples and
apostles of Jesus Christ, sons of the Most Perfect Father, and Catholics. By our baptism, we are called to be known as prophets too. As we stand in Unity, practice Charity, and embrace Fraternity and Patri-otism, will we pray for unity within our country? Will we speak the truth and advocate for every hu-man being? We have the Holy Spirit’s gift of Forti-tude; will we courageously challenge any political leader who is disrespectful of any fellow human being? Vivat Jesus! Father Mike Davis Faithful Friar
