The Pastor Writes by Dr. Chuck Hampton, Transition Pastor
Leap year is confusing. No wonder it always comes during a presidential election year! There are so many choices that muddy the water. Hopefully, clear choices will emerge. Pray and then vote for your selection in our own Presidential Direct Primary on March 8th. Speaking of choices, we celebrate the arrival of Michael, Tanya, Trey, Holly-Grace and Chrestman Kelly to our church family! We welcome Michael into the pastoral leadership of the Student Ministry. What an exciting time for us and him as he leads students to become fully devoted followers of Jesus. Sue Mac did an awesome job in transition to prepare us for exciting days under Michael’s leadership. Pray for him and his family as they make adjustments to a new city and ministry. Also, pray for our students and leadership before and during the Spring Retreat scheduled for Sunday, March 13th through Wednesday, March 16th, at Central Hills near Kosciusko. The Youth Adventure Lodge Grand Opening/Open House will be held on Sunday, March 20th, at 6:00 p.m. Many people have devoted countless hours for the completion of this beautiful facility. It will provide much needed space for ministry in future years! Make a note about the Good Friday/Lord’s Supper Service on Friday,
March 25th. It will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. This will be the first opportunity for Deb and me to join with you in this special Easter weekend tribute to our Savior for His ultimate sacrifice!Sunday, March 27th, is the most exciting worship event of the year. What a privilege to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus before a watching world! Please remember that the morning schedule is normal, but there will be no evening service or activities.Obviously, March is an exciting month. It really is the time that we “spring forward”, not only for the clock (March 13th), but also for ministry opportunities for the Spring and then the Summer! Continue to pray for God to continue His work among us.
By His Design,Pastor Chuck

NEW BIBLE STUDIESWonderstruck: Awaken to the Nearness of God by Margaret Feinberg, Led by Traci HazelBegins Wednesday, March 2nd at 6:00 p.m. in Room 514 / 515 Wonderstruck will remind you what it means to awaken to wonder—every day. Do you ever feel like you’re going through the motions of faith? Sometimes we do and say the right things, but our hearts are far from God. We lose our sense of holy awe. In Wonderstruck, Margaret Feinberg invites you to toss back the covers, climb out of bed, and drink in the fullness of life God intended.
Armor of God by Priscilla ShirerBegins Wednesday, March 2nd at 9:30 a.m. in Room 514 / 515All day, every day, an invisible war rages around you — unseen, unheard, yet felt throughout every aspect of your life. A devoted, devilish enemy seeks to wreak havoc on everything that matters to you: your heart, your mind, your marriage, your children, your relationships, your resilience, your dreams, your destiny. But his battle plan depends on catching you unaware and unarmed. If you’re tired of being pushed around and caught with your guard down, this study is for you.
