my hand will save.I who made the stars of night,
I will make their darkness bright.Who will bear my light to them?

The Gathering
The Greeting
We come together as people with different skills,
different abilities, different disabilitiesWe come together,
however, as the body of Christ
We ask God to help us to be compassionate toward all,
even as God has been compassionate toward us.
Gather us together in compassion and faith. Help us to welcome and honour
everyone in this community.
Regardless of physical strength.Regardless of differences of mind and spirit.
Open us, O God. Make us accessible to your Holy Spirit,
and accessible to all your people. Amen
Prayer of Preparation
Almighty God, 3
to whom all hearts are open, all desires known, and from whom
no secrets are hidden:cleanse the thoughts of our hearts
by the inspiration of your Holy Spirit, that we may perfectly love you,
and worthily magnify your holy name;through Christ our Lord. Amen
Gloria in Excelsis
Glory to God in the highest, 4 and peace to his people on earth.
Lord God, heavenly King, almighty God and Father,
we worship you, we give you thanks,
we praise you for your glory.
Lord Jesus Christ, only Son of the Father,
Lord God, Lamb of God,you take away
the sin of the world:have mercy on us;
you are seated at the right hand of the Father:
receive our prayer.
For you alone are the Holy One,you alone are the Lord,
you alone are the Most High, Jesus Christ,
with the Holy Spirit,in the glory of God the Father.
Amen
The Collect
God of truth, help us to keep your law of love and to walk in ways of wisdom,
that we may find true life in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
The Liturgy of the Word
A reading from Acts chapter 3
1 One day Peter and John were going up to the temple
at the hour of prayer, at three o’clock in the afternoon.
2 And a man lame from birth was being carried in.
3 When he saw Peter and John about to go into the temple,
he asked them for alms. 4 Peter looked intently at him,
as did John, and said, Look at us.
People would lay him daily at the gate of the temple called the Beautiful Gate
so that he could ask for alms from those entering the temple.
6 But Peter said, I have no silver or gold,
but what I have I give you; in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth,
stand up and walk.
7 And he took him by the right hand and raised him up; and immediately
his feet and ankles were made strong.
5 And he fixed his attention on them, expecting
to receive something from them.
walking and leaping and praising God. 9 All the people saw him walking
and praising God, 10 and they recognized him
as the one who used to sit and ask for alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and
they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.
8 Jumping up, he stood and began to walk,
and he entered the temple with them,
This is the word of the Lord, thanks be to God.
Christ’s is the world in which we move.
Christ’s are the folk we’re summoned to love,Christ’s is the voice which calls us to care, and Christ is the One who meets us here.

Feel for the people we most avoid,
strange or bereaved or never employed;feel for the women, and feel for the men
who fear that their living is all in vain.
To the lost Christ shows his face;to the unloved He gives His embrace;to those who cry in pain or disgrace,
Christ, makes, with His friends,a touching place.

Feel for the parentswho lost their child,
feel for the woman whom men have defiled, feel for the baby for whom there’s no breast,
and feel for the weary who find no rest.
To the lost Christ shows his face;to the unloved He gives His embrace;to those who cry in pain or disgrace,
Christ, makes, with His friends,a touching place.

Feel for the lives by life confused,riddled with doubt, in loving abused;
feel for the lonely heart, conscious of sin, which longs to be pure but fears to begin.
To the lost Christ shows his face;to the unloved He gives His embrace;to those who cry in pain or disgrace,
Christ, makes, with His friends,a touching place.

Gospel Acclamation
Gospel Reading
A reading from Luke chapter 6
Hear the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ according to Luke
Glory to you, O Lord.
Jesus said…46 Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord’,
and do not do what I tell you?
47 I will show you what someone is like who comes to me, hears my words, and acts on them.
48 That one is like a man building a house, who dug deeply and laid the foundation on rock;
when a flood arose, the river burst against that house but could not shake it,
because it had been well built.
When the river burst against it, immediately it fell, and
great was the ruin of that house.
49 But the one who hears and does not act
is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation.
This is the gospel of the Lord, Praise to you, O Christ.
Responding to the call of Jesus on our lives,
we will be a welcoming, growing and vibrant congregation,
seeking God, sharing our giftsand serving the world.

Thank you.
The Creed
We believe in one God, 7
the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is, seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God, begotten, not made,of one Being with the Father;
through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven,
was incarnate from the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary
and was made man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again
in accordance with the Scriptures;he ascended into heaven and is
seated at the right hand of the Father.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son,who with the Father and the Son
is worshipped and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism
for the forgiveness of sins.We look
for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come.
Amen
Prayers of Intercessionwe sit or kneel as we are invited to pray
Lord, in your mercy 9hear our prayer. or
Lord, hear us. 10Lord, graciously hear us.these prayers end with the words
Merciful Father, 11accept these prayersfor the sake of your Son,our Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen
Prayers of Penitence the confession is introduced
Let us confess our sins in penitence and faith,
firmly resolved to keep God’s commandments and to live in love and peace with all.
Almighty and creating God, we come before you today
as people who are separated from one another by fear,
by prejudice and ignorance.
Through our language, actions and facilities we make people insiders and outsiders,
both in our lives and in our church.
Forgive us, and create in us the active vision that opens hearts,
minds and doors, as wide as the love of Christ, so that no-one is left outside.
Help us to reach beyond ourselves to discover the joy of community. Give us the patience to discover
that all people have gifts and abilities to share with our community of faith.
We ask forgiveness in the name of Jesus. Amen
May God who is both power and love
forgive you and free you from your sins, heal and strengthen you by his Spirit,
and raise you to new life in Christ our Lord.
Amen

all things new. What is wrong, you forgive, and the new life you give

Prayer for healing will be offered during communion
Preparation of the TableTaking of the Bread and Wine
Blessed are you, 15 .
Lord God of all creation:through your goodness
we have this bread to set before you, which earth has given
and human hands have made.It will become for us the bread of life.
Blessed be God for ever.
Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation:through your goodness
we have this wine to set before you, fruit of the vine
and work of human hands. It will become for us the cup of salvation.
Blessed be God for ever.
The Eucharistic Prayer .
The Lord is here 17 .
His Spirit is with us.
Lift up your hearts. We lift them to the Lord.
Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
It is right to give thanks and praise.
It is truly right and just, our duty and our salvation, always and everywhere
to give you thanks, holy Father, almighty and eternal God.
From sunrise to sunset this day is holy,
for Christ has risen from the tomband scattered the darkness of death
with light that will not fade.
This day the risen Lord walks with your gathered people,
unfolds for us your word, and makes himself known
in the breaking of the bread.
And though the night will overtake this day
you summon us to live in endless light, the never-ceasing sabbath of the Lord.
And so, with choirs of angelsand with all the heavenly host,
we proclaim your glory and join in their unending song of praise:
Holy, holy, holy Lord,God of power and might,
heaven and earth are full of your glory.Hosanna in the highest.
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.Hosanna in the highest.
Lord, you are holy indeed, the source of all holiness;
grant that by the power of your Holy Spirit,
and according to your holy will, these gifts of bread and wine
may be to us the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ;
who, in the same night that he was betrayed,
took bread and gave you thanks;he broke it
and gave it to his disciples, saying:
Take, eat; this is my body which is given for you;
do this in remembrance of me.
In the same way, after supperhe took the cup
and gave you thanks; he gave it to them, saying:
Drink this, all of you;this is my blood of the new covenant, which is shed for you and for many
for the forgiveness of sins.Do this, as often as you drink it,
in remembrance of me.
Great is the mystery of faith:
Christ has died:Christ is risen:
Christ will come again.
And so, Father, calling to mind his death on the cross,
his perfect sacrifice made once for the sins of the whole world;
rejoicing in his mighty resurrection and glorious ascension,
and looking for his coming in glory,we celebrate
this memorial of our redemption.
As we offer you this our sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving,
we bring before you this bread and this cup
and we thank you for counting us worthy
to stand in your presence and serve you.
Send the Holy Spirit on your people
and gather into one in your kingdomall who share
this one bread and one cup,so that we,
in the company of all the saints, may praise and glorify you for ever,
through Jesus Christ our Lord;
by whom, and with whom, and in whom,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit, all honour and glory be yours,
almighty Father, for ever and ever.Amen
Prayer for healing will be offered during communion
The Lord’s PrayerWe sit or kneel to pray
..
As our Saviour taught us, so we pray
Our Father in heaven, 19hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come, your will be done
on earth as in heaven.Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins as we forgive
those who sin against us.Lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power,
and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen
Breaking of the Bread
.
We break this bread for the broken parts of ourselves.
The wounded child in all of us.For our broken relationships
That one day all will be healed in the heart of God.
21 .
We break this bread to share in the body of Christ
Though we are many, we are one body, because we all share in one bread.
the Agnus Dei - ‘Lamb of God’ .
.
Lamb of God, .
you take away the sin of the world, have mercy on us.
Lamb of God, you take away the sin of the world,
have mercy on us.
Lamb of God,you take away the sin of the world,
grant us peace.
Draw near with faith.Receive the body
of our Lord Jesus Christ which he gave for you,
and his blood which he shed for you.
Eat and drink in remembrance that he died for you,
and feed on him in your hearts by faith with thanksgiving.
Giving of Communionthe people are invited
Most merciful Lord, 25 ...
your love compels us to come in.Our hands were unclean,
our hearts were unprepared;we were not fit even to eat
the crumbs from under your table.
But you, Lord, are the God of our salvation,
and share your bread with sinners.
So cleanse and feed us with the precious body and blood of your Son, that he may live in us and we in him;
and that we, with the whole company of Christ,
may sit and eat in your kingdom. Amen
Prayer for healing will be offered during communion
O Love that wilt not let me go,I rest my weary soul in thee:
I give thee back the life I owe, That in thine ocean depths its flow
May richer, fuller be.
O light that followest all my way,I yield my flickering torch to thee:
My heart restores its borrowed ray,That in thy sunshine’s blaze its day
May brighter, fairer be.
HON 517
O joy that seekest me through pain,I cannot close my heart to thee:
I trace the rainbow through the rain,And feel the promise is not vain,
That morn shall tearless be.
O cross that liftest up my head,I dare not ask to fly from thee:I lay in dust life’s glory dead,
And from the ground there blossoms redLife that shall endless be.
