Technical Specification Information PAMREX 36-inch Manhole Cover and Frame Manhole cover and frame shall be called PAMREX or approved equal. Covers and frames shall be manufactured from Ductile Iron in a foundry fully certified under the requirements ISO 9000:2000. Covers shall be dually hinged and incorporate a 90-degree blocking system to prevent accidental closure and come complete with hinge infiltration plugs. Covers shall be one-man operable using standard tools and shall be capable of withstanding a test load of 120,000 lbs. Covers shall be capable of receiving a retrofit badge through use of a punch out design. Frames shall be circular, incorporate a seating ring and be available in a nominal 36-inch clear opening. Covers will be locked as standard and unit will complete with gas strut to aid opening and closing. The frame depth shall not exceed 6 inches, and the flange shall incorporate bedding slots and bolt holes. All components shall be black coated. Frame weight: 188 lbs. Cover weight: 205 lbs.
