WHAT A DIFFERENCEA DATE MAKESInfluenced by the pioneering Datejust, the date on the Datejust 41 isdisplayed in a window at 3 o’clock and changes instantaneously atmidnight in a few thousandths of a second. The Cyclops lens on thecrystal, invented by Rolex in 1953, magnifies the date for easy reading.

THE FIRST DATEJUSTThe year 1945 saw the birth of the Datejust, the first self‑winding wristchronometer to indicate the date in a window on the dial. A watch ofgreat distinction, the Datejust was equipped with a Jubilee braceletcreated specially for it and a fluted bezel, making it immediatelyrecognisable as a Rolex. It is the pillar of the Oyster collection. Initially formen, it became available in various models for women in the course ofthe following decade.

THE OYSTER CASE, SYMBOLOF WATERPROOFNESSThe Oyster case of the Datejust 41, guaranteed waterproof to a depth of100 metres (330 feet), is a paragon of robustness, proportion andelegance. The characteristically shaped middle case is crafted from asolid block of Oystersteel. The fluted case back is hermetically screweddown with a special tool that allows only Rolex watchmakers to access themovement. Fitted with the Twinlock double waterproofness system, thewinding crown screws down securely against the case. The crystal, with aCyclops lens at 3 o’clock for easy reading of the date, is made of virtuallyscratchproof sapphire. The waterproof case provides optimum protectionfor the Datejust 41’s high-precision movement.

PERPETUAL CALIBRE 3235The Datejust 41 is equipped with a new-generation movement, calibre3235, entirely developed and manufactured by Rolex for a superlativelevel of performance. This self-winding mechanical movement is at theforefront of the watchmaking art. A consummate demonstration of Rolextechnology with 14 patents, it offers fundamental gains in terms ofprecision, power reserve, resistance to shocks and magnetic fields, easeof use and reliability.

OYSTER ANDJUBILEE BRACELETSThe Datejust 41 is available on an Oyster or Jubilee bracelet. Both thesesolid-link, Oystersteel bracelets benefit from the new concealedattachment system beneath the bezel, which ensures seamless visualcontinuity between the bracelet and case. They are equipped with afolding Oysterclasp and also feature the ingenious Rolex-patentedEasylink rapid extension system that allows the wearer to easily increasethe bracelet length by approximately 5 mm, for additional comfort in anycircumstance.

SUPERLATIVECHRONOMETERCERTIFICATIONThe Datejust 41 is covered by the Superlative Chronometer certificationredefined by Rolex in 2015. This exclusive designation testifies that thewatch has successfully undergone a series of tests conducted by Rolex inits own laboratories according to its own criteria, which exceedwatchmaking norms and standards. The certification applies to the fullyassembled watch, after casing the movement, guaranteeing superlativeperformance on the wrist in terms of precision, power reserve,waterproofness and self-winding. The precision of a Rolex SuperlativeChronometer after casing is of the order of −2/+2 seconds per day, ormore than twice that required of an official chronometer. The SuperlativeChronometer status is symbolized by the green seal that comes with everyRolex watch and is coupled with an international five-year guarantee.
