• He showed hesitation when he was answering a hard question.
Incredulous
• indicating or showing unbelief.
• She was incredulous to my surprising victory.
Nonchalantly
• Cooly unconcerned.
• The kids nonchalantly drove by a fight.
Rebellious
• Showing resistance to authority.
• The kid was rebellious to his parent’s rules.
Reputation
• The estimation in which a person or thing is held.
• The popular kid’s reputation was great.
Rivalry
• The action or relation of a competition.
• Texas vs. Arkansas is a big rivalry.
Sympathetic
• Looking upon with favor.
• The boy was sympathetic to his hurt dog.
Sarcasm
• Harsh or bitter derision or irony.
• The boy was called a “smart alec” when he showed sarcasm to people.
Unfathomable
• Unable to penetrate to the truth.
• His pain and sorrow was very unfathomable to understand.
