Osirian (The Reptilians) The Osirian, the race depicted in Centauri Knights, wiped themselves out by an uncontrollable nanotech weapon (this also left the planet's surface desert-like outside of the oceans), but what remains of the osirian culture is very... egyptian in motif (massive pyramids, scarab shaped shuttlecrafts, scorpion & snake killbots). As for physiology, the Osirians were reptiles, and any differences between them (horns, 6 fingered hands, tail stinger) can be explained by their being a different caste.

Eventually, once enough power has been garnered, they split off a new crystal (crystal birth), and then the crystal can never again gain power. The new crystal starts out with minimal power [a.k.a: Energy Bonus Level 1].

Beyond the obvious benefits of gaining a new crystal basically for free, crystal growth also has an affect on the magical effects of the crystal. Although there are a few crystals whose powers never change, most crystals gain new, more intense versions of their old magic upon gaining sufficient power.
