Summer Lite Edition
For all UHN Research PIs and Support Staff: Is your Research Summer Student leaving UHN at the end of August? Below is a checklist to ensure a smooth transition. From the Research Information Systems (RIS) Helpdesk – [email protected] Departing employees should add an out of office message stating
that they no longer work at UHN. The message should also in-clude the contact information for an individual who would be able to provide assistance.
Departing users should move all files from their home drives (Z drive) to shared drives.
Employees should delete the contents of their home drives (Z drive), and remove all files and folders they created. RIS can assist departing employees save any files they need to DVDs.
Departing employees must notify [email protected] to remove their name from the 411 Staff Directory List.
Administrators or managers should inform RIS of the employee’s departure and request that the employee’s research account be disabled so that network connectivity billing can be terminated if required.
From Human Resources (HR): Departing employees must return all UHN keys/badges to their
supervisors. Administrators or managers should submit the 2552 form (End of
Contract/Assignment) for all students paid by UHN. This will help ensure the student’s T4 slip is generated accurately.
For questions, please contact the ORT or your HR advisor.
