The Chick Evans Caddie Scholarship is a full tuition and housing college scholarship for golf caddies. Since 1930, more than 9,800 men and women have graduated as Evans Scholars, with most recipients attending one of the 14 universities across

the nation where the Evans Scholars Foundation owns and operates a Scholarship House.

The Program, sponsored by the Western Golf Association in Golf, Illinois, was started by Chicago golf amateur Charles “Chick” Evans Jr. Today, more than 100,000 golfers nationwide, including Evans Scholars Alumni, support the Program, making it the nation’s largest privately funded scholarship program that provides full tuition and housing. Evans Scholars Program

State of Indiana

There are a total of 100 Evans Scholars attending Indiana University and Purdue University – 60 at

Indiana and 40 at Purdue. Currently, 53% of the Scholars at IU and PU are non-residents.

Both the Indiana and Purdue Chapters achieved a 3.2 GPA for the 2012-13 academic year.

The Purdue Chapter hosted PGA of America President Ted Bishop for a dinner and presentation at the

Scholarship House this fall.

The Evans Scholars Foundation was named the 2013 National Scholarship Provider of the Year.
