HUNCH Programs

• Students participate in a team experience that allows for practice of 21st century skills.

• Students are more actively engaged in hands-on learning

• Students gain a deeper understanding of their subject areas because they are applying their knowledge

• Students have an opportunity to work on significant real world problems

• Students attendance is improved and standardized test scores can improve

HUNCH Extreme Science Microgravity Program Partnerships

• Partnership between Academia, Industry, and NASA to promote STEM education

• Schools provide a safe working environment as well as a supportive teacher

• Universities provide equipment and mentors• Industry provide equipment, mentors and funding • NASA provides the real world tasks, mentors,

supplies and possibly the aircraft evaluation

How to Join HUNCH • Teacher writes a Statement of Work (SOW)• Rubric is used by HUNCH project manager to

evaluate SOW• When accepted a Space Act Agreement (SAA)

is signed by Michael Suffredini, Manager of ISS Program and District Superintendant of schools
