We’ve invited our members show their appreciation for all of the wonderful ways

you uphold our 6 Core Values by filling out Thank You Cards. Now that we’ll

have more TYCs coming in, we’ll be drawing 2 more winners each week!

On Sunday morning, when I arrived to work and checked the irrigation com-puter, I saw that some of the sat-ellites on Hole #6

did not run the previous night. Later, the satellite field rep. con-firmed our diagnoses that the

transformers went bad. This is a rare problem and the field rep. had never seen it happen before, especially to 3 satellites. The parts were ordered but would not be here until Thursday. In the meantime, Angel had to fig-ure out how to get water on Hole #6. He found some used parts and was able to get 2 of the satellites running so he could water from the computer at night. Then, he figured out a way to quickly switch some of the parts so we could water the

remaining satellites first thing in the morning. This took a lot of Innovative thinking. On Thurs-day when the parts were sched-uled to arrive, Angel was sched-uled to leave work at 2:00pm. Instead of leaving at his sched-uled time, he stayed and waited for the parts and then stayed until 6:00pm to install the parts and make sure the satellites were up and running for the night. —Alex Ward, APH GC

This past Saturday, our board member Joe Maslick had a reservation for 5 people. They needed to change it to 12 people at the last moment. The Apache staff pulled together to make this happen and Lyndsay waited on their table. As Lyndsay interacted with Mr. Maslick she mentioned she was going to be singing the Nation-al Anthem at a Suns game soon coming up. Mr. Maslick inquired if she could sing the song for his group. Lyndsay proceeded to sing a beautiful rendition of the

National Anthem. They began discuss-ing Whitney Hou-ston and did she

know any of her songs. Lyndsay said she did and sang a wonderful version of a Whitney Houston song. From there they got on the subject of opera and Mr. Maslick inquired if Lyndsay

knew opera. Lyndsay then proceeded to sing the most amazing opera for the group. Later in the evening she sang a song for the members at the bar and received a standing ovation. Mr. Maslick told me that his dinner went from a

usual Satuday evening dinner to one of the most wonderful evenings he has had in a long time all due to our tal-ented employees here at Desert Moun-tain. -Paul Hadreas, Paul Hadreas, Paul Hadreas, Paul Hadreas, Dir of Club OperationsDir of Club OperationsDir of Club OperationsDir of Club Operations
