The Most Beautiful Thing

ORIENTATION:

once,  there was a teenager who study at the university, he was Brandon. His life

was not like the other students. He did all the activities without a friend at his side. Other

students like to underestimate him. Because of that, he seldom hung out at the university

and he prefered to be alone. It also happened when he was at home, he also felt lonely.

COMPLITATION :

One day, a girl came into his life, her name was Emily. Brandon started to approach

Emily. But there was no respond from her. He felt dissapointed. because of thas, he went

home as usual, with a feeling lonely. In the next day, when he was sitting in the park, Emily

came and sat near of him. Brandon started to talk with her, but there was no respond from

her again. And in the second time he tried, Emaly looked brandon’s face while explain that

she couldn’t heard what did Brandon say because she was deaf and mute. From that time,

Brandon realized that’s way she couldn’t respond. Started from that time, they were Make

friends. Brandon and Emily were getting closer even though they couldn’t talk directly. And

they did many activities and spent thier free times together, like talking together, drawing

together, laughing together, etc. She gave him new meaning in life. Once, when Brandon

went to teh park, he saw Emily talk with a guy, and he felt jealous and he thought that

Emily love that guy, but She wasn’t. And next day Brandon brought a bondle of flowers that

given to Emily, but when he arrived at the park, he saw the same thing again, he saw Emily

sit with a guy and in that time he saw Emily was kissed by that guy. He threw the flowers

and leave them. Brandon was broken heart and furious. After that moment, he did all of his

activities with bad feeling. Because frustrated, he couldn’t study well, until he was rampage

in the toilet.

RECOLUTION :

After he came out from the toilet, Suddenly he met with Emily. He just silence, and

leave Emily. When he walked away from Emily, Emily kept tried to call Brandon although it

was very difficult for her to did it. And unexpectedly Emily issued a word from her mouth.

Brandon was surprised and stopped. Then, he looked at Emily. When Brandon was looking

at Emily’s face, Emily tried to explain everything were has happened, although with

difficulty, she explained with one word by one word. And at that time, brandon responded.

He expressed his feelings and invited Emily to go to the prom.

There are two setting in this short film, place setting, time setting and

condition setting.

First, place setting are :

a. At Brandon’s University :

when Brandon walk at school’s yard,

study at his classroom,

when he see Prom leaflet on his locker,

when Brandon sat on (bangku taman) while he studied and met with Emily.

When Brandon walk together with Emily and sat at school yard.

When he frustated at toilet.

b. At railway station : when Brandon want to go home.

c. At Brandon’s house :

when Brandon just arrived at home from school and nobody there.

when he opened his bagpack at his room.

And when he studied at his room while he was remembering Emily from

their notebook.

Second, time setting are :

a. In the morning until evening :

Brandon was at University

b. At night :

Brandon at railway station and when he arrived at home, and also when he at

his room.

Third, condition setting :

a. Feeling lonely : when Brandon hasn’t friend

b. Feeling happy : when he has a friend,Emily and when Emily started to speak.

c. Feeling frustated : when he saw Emily is kissed by a guy.

Characters :

Brandon : uncomunicative, less intercourse but actually he is a good boy.

Emily : good and friendly girl.
