The Moat in Wrotham is a well-established venue providing a haven for Brides & Grooms wishing to celebrate their special day with friends and family in beautiful, charming surroundings. Our weddings take place in our 14th Century Barn which boasts many of its original features, giving it charm and wonderful character. The Moat is situated in the glorious “Garden of England” and is easily accessible from all major routes including the M25 and M20.

You & Your Wedding...
Weddings take place in our 14th Century Barn, which can accommodate up to 95 guests for a formal sit down meal or up to 150 guests if you should choose a buffet celebration. With many traditional features and elegant décor, our Barn is also licensed to hold your Civil Ceremony as well as your reception, allowing you to host your whole wedding day with us. This beautiful barn provides a flexible space suited to both dining and dancing the night away.
A key component of the service we are delighted to provide is a dedicated Wedding Co-ordinator who will look after you from your first meeting, right up to your wedding day. Your Wedding Co-ordinator can help with as much or as little of the planning as you require as well as sourcing local suppliers and adding personal touches to make your day extra special. On the big day itself, your co-ordinator will be there to ensure that everything runs smoothly, leaving you to enjoy your day and relax.

If you are planning on getting married abroad but would like to host an informal reception of up to 150 guest than the Moat Barn is perfect.With a fantastic evening filled with good food and good music from our resident DJ, we can also provide a projector for you to show pictures of your ceremony.
Room Hire - £350 and buffets start from £10.50 per head

Whether helping to arrange your ceremony or hosting your reception, at The Moat we will approach your wedding preparations with an experienced, friendly and professional manner. We are pleased to assist you with all aspects of your day from menu choices to recommending photographers, wedding car hire, cake makers and florists.
Our Platinum, Gold and Silver packages have been created to keep your planning simple. All of our food is sourced from regional suppliers and freshly prepared for your special day. Our packages allow you to create your own personal menu; simply choose a starter, a main and a dessert available from your chosen package.

Our experienced Wedding Co-ordinator will help you plan your day from beginning to end and be involved with the planning as much as you want them to be. Once you have viewed the Barn and have set the date, our Wedding Co-ordinator would be happy to contact Dartford Registry Office and book your wedding time and date.
Now your wedding begins... Please see the inserts at the back of this brochure for our useful checklist to keep your wedding plans organised. Your Wedding Co-ordinator will be happy to help with your arrangements should you require any.

hoW to find us...
From the M25 anticlockwise: Exit the M25 at
Junction 5 on to the M26 sign posted for Dover.
Follow the M26 until Junction 2a. Turn off at Junction
2a signposted Paddock Wood and Wrotham. Take
the first exit at the roundabout onto the A20. Follow
the A20 for ½ Mile and The Moat is on the left just
opposite the Total petrol station.
From the M25 clockwise: Exit the M25 at Junction
2 towards M20 following signs for Maidstone &
Brandshatch. Stay on the M20 for about 9 miles until
you reach Junction 2 sign posted A20 Brandshatch.
Exit here and take the third exit at the roundabout
towards Meopham. At second roundabout take the
third exit towards Wrotham. At the third roundabout
take the second exit, A20 and follow the road for
about a mile and The Moat is on your right.
From the M20 anticlockwise: Exit the M20 at
Junction 3 sign posted M26/M25. After half a mile
exit the M26 at Junction 2a sign posted A20. At
the roundabout take the third exit signposted A20.
Follow the A20 for ½ Mile and The Moat is on the
left just opposite the Total petrol station.
