All cars giving out candy please be in the parking lot between 5:30 and 5:45.
I hope you will make plans to join us for our annual Trunk or Treat this Wednesday, October 28. We still need volunteers to fill up the trunks of their car with candy that they can then pass out to kids. If you would like to help, see our children’s minister, Jeremy Sivils, or call the church office. Cars need to be lined up around the back parking lot by 5:30 p.m. so that
we can begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. A free chili supper will be held in the CLC and Christian illusionist, Clark Rowland, will also be performing in the Fireside Room at 6:30 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. Please join me in praying that the night will be a great outreach to unchurched kids and their families! Last but not least, based on last Sunday’s vote, there will be a ordination service for Hunter Mueller on Sunday, November 8 at 6:00 p.m. Please pray for Hunter and his family as he begins his service as a deacon here at First Baptist. In His Service, Bro. Bob
This upcoming Sunday, October 18 the youth will be going to see the movie Woodlawn. They will be leaving the church at 12:00 noon for the 1:10 pm showing at The Regal Theatre at Hamburg . Please contact me if you plan on going.
Next Friday, October 30th we will be having a bonfire at the Currens house following the football game. Student may arrive at 9:30. I want to remind everyone again about our 7:15-7:30 prayer time on Tuesday mornings in the youth center. Lastly, the Lock In for the youth has been postponed until Friday, December 4th. For His Name Sake, Zach
Trunk-or-Treat is next Wednesday night at 6pm! Bring your car, costumes, candy, chili, and children –there will be fun for all ages! Our Operation Christmas Child collection continues for the kids in our children’s programs
this week. Each week until Thanksgiving, the kids have the opportunity to bring items that will be used to fill boxes for children all around the world. Each week that they bring an item (toys, dolls, school supplies, etc.) their cost for our trip to the Aquarium in January will be reduced. If they bring items all five weeks, they will get to go for free! Our 4
th-6
th graders will be packing the boxes at our ThankFest
Lock-in on November 20th (more info to come). This week, they can bring small toys such as
puzzles, balls, jump ropes, cars, etc. on either Sunday or Wednesday. Cheerfully in Christ, Jeremy
Worship Music for Sunday (October 25) This Sunday Bro. Bob will be preaching the

heart-warming anthem: "Daystar!" Plus, Janis and I will share a duet: "You're Never Out of
His Love," just before Bro. Bob's message! Lance and Michael will play the instruments for
the 10:50 a.m. service! Sunday night will be Week #7, Chapter 6, for our D-Groups at 6:00! We will
start with a song, then Bro. Bob will share some teaching on Chapter 6, before we divide up into our
groups!
Remember that There is NO Choir Practice THIS WEDNESDAY (Oct. 28) I will be out in the

Come hear the Israel Mission Team report about their trip.
Amanda Green and others will be leaving for Bangladesh on November 10th and returning on the 22nd. While there, she will be testing water for arsenic and sharing the Gospel, visiting orphanages and widows’ homes and hosting a Children’s Day. The Children’s Day will be an all-day Bible camp for 800 children from Hindu
families. These children do not know about Jesus. They will have activities for the children including Bible quizzes, Bible lessons and verse memorization, games and food. It will cost $3.34 for each child to attend. You can assist in the ministry by sponsoring children to attend the Children’s Day or by donating supplies for the trip. Amanda will need crayons and coloring books for the orphanages as well as lollipops and bubble gum for the children. If you choose to sponsor a child, you can make the check payable to First Baptist Church and designate in memo “Amanda Green Mission Trip”.

Based on the nominations by our church membership and the findings of the Deacon Screening Committee, the
Deacon body recommends calling Jim Hall, Michael Manning, Hunter Mueller and Wesley Tucker. We will have a Deacon Ordination service for Hunter on Nov. 8.
Our Bereavement ministry provides a meal for
families of deceased members in order to allow
families and friends to celebrate the life of a
loved one. This service depends on designated
contributions to pay for the various expenses involved. At
present the bereavement account is in need of funds to carry
on its purpose. If you feel so led you may contribute to First
Baptist Church and note the contribution is for
“Bereavement Ministry.”

Dear Church Family, Thank you so much for my scholarship this semester. Getting to my senior year at
the University of Alabama has been nothing short of easy, but I am so grateful to have all of your thoughts and prayers for me to get me through. This scholarship has once again allowed me to get all of my school supplies for the semester. Thank you again for everything y'all have done and continue to do for my family and me. See y’all soon! Roll Tide! Loyally, Barbara McDonald First Baptist Church, Stacy Bush and all group leaders that gave your time to help our elderly parents; we thank you. Inasmuch is a wonderful part of our church. A special thank you to Wesley Tucker for being a great leader. God bless all of you who worked so hard on Mr. & Mrs. Graves yard. We truly appreciate you. Blessings, John & Pat Graves Dear Church Family, Thank you so much for the scholar-ship money for this fall semester. I am so blessed with a loving and supportive church family. Love, Jesse
